“Perfect Place to stay in Ravenna”

We arrived in Ravenna and easily found the apartment and a place to park until we checked in and were able to use the private parking, which was great as a saving factor, but was very safe and secure. It was easy to leave and return as we wished. The owner met us after his work day and was very enthusiastic to show us the apartment and all the great features.
The living area was very spacious with a sofa, tables, bookshelves and a TV. The kitchen was large and very well equipped. There was a big bathroom downstairs with a washing machine and another bathroom upstairs, where there were 2 bedrooms. The bedrooms had windows and shades in the ceiling that could be opened or closed. It was a very nice feature to let in fresh air or to darken the room for sleeping. It was very convenient to have a bathroom upstairs also. The apartment looked out onto the street, which was interesting and let in lots of light for an open and airy feel. The apartment was very clean and we felt very relaxed and comfortable while there.
The apartment is in an ideal location, a very short walk to the arched gate of the old town. There was so much to see and the mosaics were very impressive. There are lots of great restaurants on the way to and in the old town. Just a very short walk toward the old town is Trattoria al Rusticello, which has really good food. Down the street in the other direction are 2 large grocery stores. Ravenna is a great town to visit. We spent 4 nights and while there spent 2 days visiting interesting towns nearby. We especially liked Cesenatico, a fishing village with a canal lined with boats and restaurants on both sides with great seafood restaurants.
Ravenna is not a big tourist destination, which we feel is very nice because you can feel part of the city. It is a great place to visit with lots to see and we highly recommend this apartment.

We recently concluded a 10 day stay at the Byzentine Apartment. The apartment was exactly as advertised. It was clean and well maintained. The location was great. Three very good restaurants within 2 to 3 blocks and a supermarket within a 5 minute walk which is all we needed. It is probably a 5 to 10 minute walk to get to the main tourist attractions in Ravenna. We met the hostess when checking in. She was very helpful in getting us acquainted with the apartment features. There is off street parking inside a locked courtyard. Not the easiest parking spot to use but it gave us no problems. A small car is a definite plus.
We would not hesitate to book it again or to recenmend it to a friend.

Stayed here with my wife and sister - a comfortable modern flat within walking distance of all the main sites in Ravenna, in a street with good restaurants nearby.

Beautiful apartment, all in perfect working order. Close to everything, quiet and very comfy. The private parking is a great plus. Nice, helpful owners. Very good quality-price ratio. Absolutely recommended.

“At home in Ravenna”

The owner was friendly and helpful (and speaks English!) and always reachable when I had a question. The apartment is clean, functional and very well appointed. It is the best vacation rental we have seen so far. The five of us (family with 2 kids plus grandparent) spent 7 days here and found everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The upstairs single beds are just the right size for kids (as is the bathtub under the roof beams), while the downstairs shower bath is perfect for larger people. The separate bedrooms and two baths provide enough privacy for a small group. The location on via Maggiore is perfect: all sorts of shops and eateries with friendly staff made us feel right at home. And it's just 2 minutes' walk from Porta Adriana, 5 minutes from San Vitale and the Galla Placidia mausoleum. Plus, it includes a parking space in a private gated lot behind the house. Perfect! The beach is just a short drive away. (There is also a bus stop right in front of the building.)
We highly recommend The Byzantine!
