We stayed here for 3 nights and found it a very convenient location for the city centre and for exploring the surrounding area. It was initially a little hard to find, tucked in on the left as you come off at J12 of the Tangenziale and head into the city. The little oasis of green comes as a surprise in this industrial area. We had a room in an outbuilding near the main house, which had been very nicely converted. Bed was large and comfortable and the bathroom, though small, was nicely finished and very clean with a good shower. A big plus when staying for a few days was a half-size fridge with a freezer compartment. Wi-Fi was excellent in the room. With the window open on a warm night there was a liitle traffic noise from the Tangenziale, but not really a problem. Breakfast was simple in the typical Italian style, with good coffee and attentive service from Marcello who is an engaging host. Note that payment needs to be made by cash.
We drove into Parma (10 mins) as parking seemed plentiful and cheap just off the centre. There is also a regular bus service with a stop nearby. Exploring the surrounding area is made easier by the immediate proximity of the Tangenziale.
It's about a 10 minute drive from the center of town and initially a little hard to find but once found, which required only a quick phone call, it was great! The host was amazing, the grounds very nice and the rooms and whole setup was very dry nice. The beds were two single beds combined and they brought a baby crib as well and the tv was not sky but some other connection with plenty of channels and modern plasma with hdmi connections. Wifi was not the fastest but fast enough and reliable too. The rooms were hot without AC but just fine once we got fans.
