we were only able to get a glimpse of the main auditorium as they are preparing for performance (until end October). I suggest you visit after 2pm as the entry is half price (5 euro) and you still get a feel for the structure and entry into the other museums.

During ealry September, preparations were underway for teh Verdi Festival and so we onkly had partial access to the theatre. Nevertheless enough to see the wooden structure and to appreciate the importance of the building.

The old, wooden theater is simply magnificent. The theater is at the beginning of a tour through the art museum, which is also quite nice. A good overview of European paintings.

This was a lovely theatre to see! However, I do have to admit that I was a bit disappointed by the lack of information regarding its use, construction, etc.

The size and the use of wood for such a large theatre make this "Teatro" very impressive. It would deserve more explanation to fully grasp the grandeur of the past usage of this unique building
