We tried to visit the Galleria Estense at the Palazzo dei Musei of Modena. Due to an earthqiake several years ago the galleria was in restauration. At the entrance inside the building several roman sarcophages were exhibited. Then we learned that the Museo Lapidario Estense offers a free guided tour. It was wonderful. The lady told us in an hour tour lots of new interesting facts, showing us the details of the sacophages, telling about life at roman times and so on. When you visit Modena it's worthwhile to visit this museum as well and to take advantage of their guided tour. It's free!
