Quite simply one of the best tours we have ever done! Such a fantastic day and we learned so much. Our guide Alessandro was so enthusiastic and knowledgable and we also met a great group of people. Topped off with the most amazing lunch in beautiful surroundings and plenty of vino - not to be missed!

This tour is a 'must do' if you are interested in food! Allesandro was a breath of fresh air and totally made our day! He's not only interesting and entertaining but also so knowledgable and passionate about the production of Parmesan, balsamic and prosciutto. Be aware....no breakfast is required....you will eat more than you thought possible! Lunch was absolutely fantastic in a wonderful setting and very authentic!

When my husband & I were planning our trip to Tuscany, we were hoping we could incorporate a food tour into our schedule...and we were so glad that there was availability for us in this particular tour! We had a very full day, starting early at a farm to learn about how parmigiano reggiano is made (literally, they walk you through the process & you get to see all the steps along the way), as well as enjoying an amazing breakfast spread. From there, you travel to a balsamic vinegar "factory" where you learn all about the heritage and love that goes into making real aged balsamic vinegar. Next is a prosciutto "factory," with all the different ages of prosciutto on site, and a fantastic tasting (literally so much to sample...I've never eaten so much prosciutto in my life). Last, you go to a fabulous restaurant in the countryside, and just the views alone are amazing, never mind the lunch. I won't spoil it, but this will be a meal you will always remember.
Thank you, Alessandro, for your amazing knowledge and hosting skills, and for sharing this slice of heaven with some very grateful Americans.

fascinating visits to cheese, balsamic and ham producers with an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide, followed by an excellent lunh in the mountains. A thoroughly good introduction to artisam products. I particularly enjoyed watching the 'birth of a cheese' (parmigiano reggiano) as they skilfully rescue the chhes froma vast vat of milk

As major foodies, we wanted a tour of Bologna's food producers that really took us off the beaten path and this did not disappoint with visits to family run DOP producers for Parmigiano Reggiano, balsamic vinegar and prosciutto. Alessandro, our host and guide is the perfect combination of energetic passion and great insider knowledge. As he likes to say - we met as guests and left as friends. Ps: also a bravo to his second-in-command in training Alessandro and our driver Marco. Thanks again and we'll be back.
