Located within blocks of the Vatican and the Ottaviano Metro Station, this spacious and clean apartment allows you to easily reach all of the major attractions in Rome. It includes three bedrooms and two kitchens plus two updated bathrooms with showers. This was more than enough space for our family of 5 and could easily sleep up to 10 people. We felt more like locals than tourists. Roberto met us and provided the keys as well as recommendations for places to dine and see. He had a map and identified all of the sites that we might be interested in - I took this map with us throughout our stay. Hair dryers, utensils, glasses, plates, pots and pans are all available in the unit. He also has two espresso machines with pods - one in each kitchen. Bedrooms are air conditioned. We could not have been happier. There is a hotel on the bottom floor of the building that is separate from this apartment. We went to check in there and were told we did not have a reservation, but then Roberto met us immediately at the door and showed us up to the apartment. Just make plans ahead of time or message Roberto when you are on your way. Great experience!
My daughter and I stayed here for 4 nights in late May 17. The apartment was cool, well laid out, exceptionally clean and in a perfect location. Roberto was there to meet us as we arrived and went through everything we needed to know about the apartment and how to find everywhere we wanted to go. He sat with us and marked on a map where everything was and also how to find the closest metro station.
The kitchen was nice with plenty of crockery and utensils and the fittings were all brand new.
I am a travel agent and a self confessed 'travel snob' but I would definitely stay here again. It ticked every box.
We only stayed in this apartment for one night as it was an extension of our previous stay in another of Roberto's apartments. Our request to stay an additional night was very last minute and Roberto was extremely generous to provide us with this apartment. We booked it sight unseen because Roberto was so fantastic and we trusted him. The apartment is lovely! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook, make coffee, hang out, whatever! It's a lovely space with a window facing a courtyard. The bedroom we stayed in was enormous and extremely comfortable, good sheets, nice pillows, quiet, etc.. And the bathroom which is nicely appointed had great hot water and water pressure. This is a lovely place that can accommodate several groups of people as it has multiple bedrooms but was lovely for just the two of us. This is a great neighborhood near the Vatican, close to shopping, restaurants, grocery stores - everything you need. I really can't say enough about how fantastic Roberto is! He's super generous with his time and will explain the area, how to get around, how to visit the tourist areas, everything! He even made us a dinner reservation! Really the best host you could ask for. I highly recommend staying at any of his apartments!
Stayed here for 4 nights (6 guests) and everyone was very taken with the space, cleanliness, comfort, cookery utensils and the location. All made even better by Roberto who met us at the apartment and introduced us to the apartment plus giving us other bits of info for the area. He was very helpful throughout the stay and rescued my wife's forgotten pashmina after we had left and arranged to post it back to her. I can't thank him enough for everything from the start of the booking process to the rescued pashmina!
The apartment is on 4th floor but there is a lift for those who prefer to use it. It was very quiet despite some of the bedrooms fronting Via Catone. We did not need air conditioning although we had four hot days in Rome. Others in our party did use it but reported that it was very quiet.
We came from Ciampino airport by bus to Anagnini metro station and then direct from there to Ottoviano which is about 7 minutes walk from the apartment. The VAtican is 10 minutes walk away. Lots of restaurants around. A good public market is 6 minutes walk where you'll get fish, meat, beautiful vegetables, fruit, cheese. A large SImply supermarket just past the market - looks small from outside as its a narrow entrance but is like a tardis inside with a superb range of food etc.
An excellent choice for a visit to the Eternal City!
We had a fabulous time in Rome last weekend. Rome is a magical city and Roberto's apartment a brilliant place to explore it from. There are a number of great restaurants just yards away from the apartment and the tube station was really close too as was the supermarket, It was also just a gentle stroll away from the Vatican. Roberto sorted out transfers for us, both to and from the airport. He met us at the apartment late on the Friday night and gave us lots of great information about where everything was and how best to get there, He even took us to a local pizzeria as we hadn't eaten when we arrived! The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and very spacious for just the 4 of us. I would definitely recommend it to friends and hope to return to Rome some day and stay there again.
