Piero was very helpful in hosting me and my wife. Perfect place and neighbourhood. I can recommend this place any time. Will come back for sure. This is my place in Roma!
The photos accurately represent this spacious comfortable apartment in Trastevere. The apartment is so clean and the owner is very responsive. We enjoyed being steps from a farmer's market, delicious restaurants, gelateria, and right across the street from an out of this world Pasticceria. We ate the most amazing breakfasts- quiche, and savory and sweet pastries. You can make your own espresso or get it right across the street. Internet in the apartment worked great. My husband and I found one bed too firm, but we both found the other bed comfortable. All the furnishings are attractive, but also functional and there is so much space to hang up or store your clothing. We were so pleased a family member recommended we stay in this area of Rome! I hope to return one day!
We spent 2 great weeks here. Walk to the major sites and the historic center. Many piazzi, and countless restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Cook-in or eat out on a whim. Fresh pasta and a bakery across the street from our door. Sleep in peace and quiet (there's good A/C when you need it) and start again the next day! Our host provided a lot of helpful advice and was very responsive to email/text queries during our stay. Major public trans hub is only a few blocks away. The only "dissatisfaction" we can think of is that 2 weeks was not enough!
Our 3rd visit to Italy, and the most perfect city break available. We booked this apartment through TripAdvisor and I would highly recommend taking this experience. Piero, from the moment we enquired about the rental to the weeks leading up was extremely helpful making sure all our questions were answered. The apartment was very well positioned in the Trastevere suburb of the city. Located about 20 mins walk from the Colosseum, Pantheon, and 30 mins walk from St Peters Sq, this is as good as you could ever want. We walked to most places as the city is smaller than you think, and with so much to see, you don't want to miss any part. Our travel group was 2 children under 13, 2 adults, so the location suited all ages. When we arrived at the airport, we travelled to the apartment via the official city taxis at 48 Euro. Please avoid the car companies offering in the airport and use the taxi rank to get to the city. Once we arrived in the city, Piero was there to greet us and show us in. This was more than enough, but he also gave us lots of time and information about the city, places to eat/visit etc over the tourist areas. For us, this was the perfect way to enjoy the real Rome. The apartment was very well equipped, kitchen, bathroom with enclosed shower, generous living and bedrooms, high ceilings, wifi, dining area and away from the street noise, so everything a travelling group would require. The local amenities inc. a boulangerie (opposite :-), bars, restaurants, market area, bank, small supermarket, park, pizzeria, tram and small play area for toddlers. We booked ahead via OMNIA to gain access to the Colosseum, The Forum, Vatican, Basilica which included use of an open top bus and tram for 72 hours which I would definitely say was money well spent. We avoided the queues at the main tourist areas giving us 2 extra days in effect to visit other sites including Spanish Steps. We walked a lot, but worth every step with so much to take in. Villa Borghese was a great way to spend a Sunday, open park with bikes to hire, we used the time to rest our feet from the previous days pounding the cobbles and take in the viewing points looking over the city. If you can imagine the view from Parc Guall over Barcelona, this is what this park gives you across Rome. The other areas to note are extremely well known, Sistine Chapel is too good to describe, our children went silent in awe of the view (this has never happened, ever), Colosseum is as epic as you would expect, St Peters Sq humbling and The Forum just too much to take in. Street vendors were manageable with a 'no', and the police presence at all venues deterred the vendors to outside the man attractions and I think the old image of Italy full of pickpockets and merchants has moved on with state support towards protecting both tourists and budding entrepreneurs. So, a great experience, beautiful city, perfect host and location and memories to treasure. Thank you Piero, Ciao Roma!
We found this apartment perfect for our family of four (children aged 10 and 12). The two bedrooms in combination with the spacious living room made it possible for the four of us to both have time together and to have time alone. The kitchen was well equipped, and the bathroom both has a shower and a tub. The apartment is situated in a very nice area, and Trastevere is just fantastic! We will definitely choose to live in Trastevere again the next time we visit Rome!
Piero is the perfect host. Responds quickly and gives all the information you need, both about the apartment and about Trastevere and Rome. He also offered to help organising transport to and from the airport. A map with suggestions for restaurants, cafés and shops to visit was brilliant. We used the map a lot, and we were not disappointed.
For us the visit became rather expensive, since we had to pay for a month even though we were staying just for one week. Piero explained that this is special for February, since there are less tourists this month and our booking Friday-Friday made it difficult to get other bookings in February. There could have been better information about this before booking, but we were made aware of this before paying.
We will highly recommend this apartment to families who are going to Rome! Really the perfect place to stay!
