“Fair location but disappointing accommodation.”
Reviewed 2 March 2017 for a stay in February 2017

This was potentially a good apartment but spoilt by its sparseness and faulty items.

The location is 4 metro stops (Re di Roma) and a 10 min walk from Termini station, but the best public transport was by the 360 bus which goes directly from the bus station in the adjacent Piazza Zama (apparently unknown to the owner, Fabrizio!).

Well stocked supermarket in the Piazza, but the local restaurant is disappointing - mainly pizzas and pasta.

The apartment is on the 5th floor of a 9 storey block in a typically lively and noisy Roman suburb. Tiny gated lift.

The apartment itself is quite spacious but sparsely equipped and furnished, no sitting area, hard surfaces, bedroom chairs low backed, unsuitable for prolonged sitting. TV in bedrooms arranged to be seen from bed.

Main problem with bedroom is that the shutter is broken and cannot be raised, so that there is never any natural light (contrary to advertised picture). Should not have been let in this condition - although Fabrizio promised it was being seen to. Recommended to check this. Comfortable bed.

Bathroom well equipped but shower cubicle door broken and replaced with a makeshift, all-enveloping curtain. Again it should be repaired before it is relet.

Central heating is adequate (late February).

Balconies at rear inaccessible.

Kitchen/dining area has inadequate worktops, making food preparation difficult. Good fridge/freezer and dual fuel cooker and microwave. Cutlery, crockery and cooking equipment just about adequate - e.g. no wine glasses! No proper cleaning materials.

No radio or CD/DVD player. Wi-fi is OK, but seems rather slow.

Overall, with a few compromises, it is just about adequate for a week, but it could be so much better with a little investment and imagination. It is recommended to check that the shutter and shower cubicle are repaired before booking.

we are surprised by the review we have received, because we have not had any negative comment at the exit of the guests also saw that we could not contact them because they had no mobile we went during our stay to see if everything was ok and we were not told nothing Unfortunately it was not respected the time of arrival time the check in was done with two hours late.
The shower it's ok and the damper has been adjusted but in any case everything else for that matter is in accordance to what is described in the description.

“Comfortable apartment in a good place to explore Rome”

The apartment was as we expected-two bedrooms and a kitchen area on the 5th floor. It is very well placed-near to a small supermarket and restaurant in the Piazza Zama and metro stop(Re di Roma about ten minutes walk away) From the Termini in central Rome about 10 minutes travel to the Re di Roma or about 20 minutes on the 360 bus which stops in the Piazza Zama. The free Wi-Fi was also well received. Fabrizio met us as we were walking to the apartment and was very helpful and friendly. The supermarket is open until 8pm every day which is really helpful and there is a larger supermarket near to the Re di Roma if you want a bit more choice. We did walk to the Colosseum from the apartment which took about half an hour but was pleasant as the areas we passed through were quiet. The Baths of Caracella are about twenty minutes walk and are well worth visiting. Would recommend the apartment as a good value base for a visit to Rome

“Great place to stay”
Reviewed 9 December 2015 for a stay in November 2015

The place was very good. Close to transport and around the corner from a WONDERFUL family restaurant. The place was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The washing machine was a great bonus after having done a 7 days cruise. I would certainly recommend Ammirando Roma as a great alternative to a hotel.
