My friend and I stayed here in Rome for 4 nights. It was a last minute booking (morning of arrival) and we gave an estimate if when we would arrive to the property, sure enough someone (Veronica) was waiting for us.
Note for others looking for apartment: it is just a giant front door with buzzers to a number of apartments, sometime isn't in the B&B all the time but if you give an approximate ETA someone will meet you. If you're running late tell them, they have lives too remember.

Veronica took us straight in, helped us with our suitcases and got us settled in very quickly. She gave us a run down of location, attractions nearby, transport options and dining options. Room was clean, modern, bed comfortable and the room had aircon! If you're travelling italy in summer you DEFINITELY need aircon! The building is secure and although there are 2 other rooms in this B&B, everyone has their own key to room and front door and main door at front of street. Very secure in my opinion. We were in the one room with a separate bathroom across the hall. The other 2 have ensuites and were a little more dated with the services. Our bathroom was huge so no issues there with 2 girls sharing the bathroom! Finally, they have wifi! It stopped working day 2 but they sorted everyone out with an alternative so it was fine.

The main strip has lots of shopping, the Vatican City is literally a 5 minute walk and you can even walk to the centre via Del Corso where the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain are located (and heaps more shopping!). Took about 30 mins.

Each morning breakfast was served in the shared kitchen by the main man Gerry! Gerry is the house keeper, but much more than that. He made sure you were happy with the food (traditional European breakfast i.e. bread butter meats cheese etc) and brewed fresh coffee and tea for each individual. It was always good news to see Gerry in the morning.

I'd stay here again, no problems. Recommend to others as well if you wish to get away from big hotel, or perhaps a break from a hostel to treat yourself some quiet time without blowing too much cash on the accommodation.

We spent 4 days here mid April. The bed was big and comfortable, sheets and towels changed after two nights. Our room looked out on to a quiet back street parallel to Cola de Rienzo and was very convenient for getting around the city. Lots of cafes and restaurants close by. Monochrome colour scheme with a marble floor and a small shower room (with noisy plumbing). Breakfast was served by Jerry in the kitchen: juice, tea, coffee, croissants, bread, cheese etc. Not fancy but all that is needed in a city where you eat pizza, pasta and panini all day. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sweet Dreams as a great base for a Roman holiday.

This is an apartment that has been converted into 3 rooms two en-suite and one room has the sole use of the large family bathroom across the corridor. The person who will greet you between 8 and 5 weekdays or 8 and 12 weekends is Gerry the daily breakfast cook and housekeeper. The breakfast is limited to hot croissants and toast with a selection of sweet breads, pastries, juice, coffee and fruit. Otherwise you will have to contact Veronica, the apartment manager, to gain entry to SDI. The décor is certainly eye catching and gives it a certain old world glamour but just as those days are gone it would be safe to say the décor could do with an update. It certainly doesn't add anything to the place. The beds are really comfortable and the overall cleanliness is good and it is situated 10 mins walk from Metro Ottaviano and 10 mins walk from Vatican. It is actually on the Via Cola Di Rienzo which is a good priced shopping street and only 15 minutes from the River. There are lots of trattorias just over at Borgo di Pio or in fact along every few streets. There are a few Chinese restaurants back down towards Ottaviano which makes a bit of a change from past and pizza if you are there for more than 5 days. I would book Sweet Dreams again. Veronica was extremely helpful via e-mail and gave me clear instructions how to reach the place. It is block D on the brass bell plate to the right of the door or you will stand there scratching your head for ages. Block AB on left and CD on right.

Room Tip: Rooms are two doubles and one triple the two end ones are en suite and the middle one has to use th...
