First of all, it's not that far out of Rome at all. Besides there is a bus stop just outside for £1.5e that takes you anywhere into Rome.

Half the fun is using local transport. Had no problems at all.

Hotel itself was basic, clean, tidy and decent breakfast, usual continental with teas and coffees.

Had a standard double room or two twin beds actually pushed together but had double sheets etc. Bathroom had a good shower, only niggle about the room was the walls were paper thin ! Could here next door once they got back in each evening, thankfully they fell asleep quick.

I can see why this hotel maybe construed as marmite for some, its a tad out the way, very basic rooms, and with being English we look for English speaking TV and tea and coffee making facilities, sorry not available here...but didn't bother us.......but for £40 a night with breakfast, offering transport into Rome for £1.5e absolute steal.

Rome itself is so beautiful and surprisingly cheap, coffees in the city for £1e ? Pizza pasta for £6-10e it really can be done on a budget should you wish, though there are many fantastic places to go and eat and drink.

Trevi fountain, Colosseum all are a must....Would I stay here again, 100% yes, reception very helpful too.

The staff is by far the best thing about this hotel. Everyone is so kind and helpful BUT I CAN never stay here again. I have spent so much on Uber's the 5 days I was here. It's far from EVERYTHING... even the metro is a 15 min walk assuming you don't make any wrong turns, airport was over an hour away and cost about 140 USA dollars in taxi. Ubering to places like colosseum or Vatican City was about $50. Great service and room service 24/7 was very good though.

Dear Mrs. Juliette,

Thank you for review and for the good things about the staff. The problem is not our position but the fact that Rome is a very big city and the public trasports are not efficient. It's a problem of all Rome.

Best Regards,
Federico

Was pleasantly surprised, nothing was too much bother for the staff. Room was fine, breakfast was ok, and best of all the area was very quiet BUT very safe. We sat at one of the local bars outside and it was very nice. The No. 61 bus goes into the center from 100mtrs away, and only E1.50 each way (the hotel sells the tickets).

Room Tip: Ask for first floor

The hotel is clean enough. Very basic rooms. Cannot recommend this hotel only due to the fact that it is too far from center of Rome. 15 minute walk to metro station (with cases in the 30+c heat is too far) then 4 stops on metro. Do not have the lunch or evening food as it is microwave meals!. Directions from metro station to hotel:
Take the Vli xx1 aprile exit from Bologna metro. Then keep going straight until you exit the metro station, you will see hotel laura on left side. Walk for approx 450mtrs, turn right past fancy building Gardia di Finanza, into Via Famiano Nardini for about 190mtrs. Then left at Via Cesare Rasponi for 65mtrs then dogleg left then right at little square by petrol station to your left into via Oreste Tommasini for 280mtrs then left into via Cesare Rasponi hotel is on right after about 30mtrs.
