I wanted something very special for just a one night stay for an anniversary , so booked the master garden room and was definitely not disappointed. The reasons for the Hotel choice is that it is in a quiet location and just a 5 minute walk from the Coliseum - we didn’t want to get up too early, but still needed to visit first thing in the morning before the crowds arrived and it go too hot - the plan worked perfectly.
On arrival at the hotel whilst the normal Italian passport checks were made, we were shown through reception to the underground portico ruins - this viewing was accompanied with Cappuccino, iced water and a Tiramisu in a cool subterranean chamber as part of the welcome service. Afterwards we were shown to our room which was neither too large nor too small and impeccably decorated, plus immaculately clean. Bed was huge ( over 2 metre wide) and supremely comfortable. The hotel does not have a dinner restaurant, so we eat at one of their recommendations and were not disappointed. On our return there was a bottle of iced Prosecco waiting, so we retired to the large private garden which adjoins the room and had a memorable evening under the stars.
Breakfast on the rooftop veranda and then we managed to cram in a day’s sightseeing. Later returned to collect our flight bags and although we were technically ‘checked out’ we were served complimentary drinks and nibbles , again on the rooftop.
All in all a Hotel with masses of character plus exemplary service from staff who seemed genuinely pleased to look after us.

Room Tip: Master garden Suite is divine with privacy

My wife and I have just returned from a wonderful stay at this hotel. We can say without hesitation that it is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Every member of staff were so courteous and helpful and made us feel at home from the very moment we arrived. We love small hotels with their personal touches - not just a number on the door. For example my wife had a fall whilst we were there and everyone were so kind and considerate. Not something that would have happened in a large chain hotel! It's location was perfect for ancient Rome's sights. Just 10 minutes walk from the Colosseum Forum etc but away main roads in a quiet side street. The buffet breakfasts were lovely with special orders like cooked eggs coming so quickly and efficiently. We paid a little more and stayed in Room 401 which we recommend to anyone. It had access (with Room 402 to our own private roof garden! The hotel also had its very own extensive Roman ruins embedded in the building. Very evocative! To try to point out our favourite aspect of the hotel is very difficult with everthing from our lovely room with twice daily cleaning & replacement of towels;to the breakfasts. However we believe that the friendliness of all the staff stands out. Would without hesitation recommend this hotel wanying to stay in Rome.

Room Tip: Recommend you pay the extra cost and stay in 4th floor rooms (401 or 402)

Small property with an excellent location within steps of the Roman Forum and Colosseum; our stay included a complimentary upgraded room, breakfast boxes prepared for our trip to Pompeii, and personalized service from Hilda. I would recommend spending the extra money and staying here if you prefer a B&B feel right in the heart of it all.

Room Tip: Ground floor deluxe room is very big with four post bed.

First time staying at this lovely boutique hotel near Ancient Rome. Great service, and an excellent breakfast was included. Barbara is in charge of the breakfast and she is an excellent cake baker! Very helpful personnel who can tell you the best places to eat in the Monti neighborhood of Rome. In addition, this hotel is on a quiet residential street which has little traffic. You do have to walk on narrow cobblestone streets from this hotel to get anywhere, so wear your walking shoes.

Room Tip: Our room, a junior suite, 301 was perfect.
