Interno 21 made for an absolutely lovely, stress free stay away!
Myself and my boyfriend stayed Monday 29th Sep - 3rd October '14.
Our flight didn't get into Rome until around 19:30, and although the check in to the apartment states that it is until 7pm, Francesca arranged a late check in, and a private car to get us to the apartment as quickly as possible :)
The apartment is situated in a residential area, just off a shop filled high street. There is a pizza restaurant just across the street, which was a godsend on our first evening, and is very tasty, and cheap!
The apartment itself is modern, very clean and a very decent size for 2 people. There's a big living area, lovely little kitchen, perfect bathroom with a shower over the bath, and a very good sized bedroom with a really comfy (possibly king size?) bed!
There is a little balcony off the kitchen too which is nice :)
It takes around 45minutes - 1hr to walk into the main area of Rome (St Peters, Colosseum etc), this was perfect for us as we liked taking in the local area on the way! There are also lots of little places to stop for snacks/a cold drink if you need to refresh en route!
On our final day, Francesca arranged another car to take us back to the airport, which was dead on time!
The only problem was that we had to leave!
In a nut shell, I would thoroughly recommend this apartment to anyone who was planning on staying in Rome!
Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Apartment was really nice, colourful, neat and quite spacious. Has shops around, an awesome gelato and pastry shop close by which is cheaper than what you get in town . Very convenient for taking the bus to the metro and getting into town. For those that love walking, this is more ideal when the weather is much cooler though as the distance to major attractions is not that close if you have to walk. The price is good for the location.
We're an Australian couple who stayed at interno 21 for 3 nights. The aprtment is on the 4th floor and there are around 10 steps before you can use the lift, making large luggage a little troublesome. Check in was okay ( the cleaner met us there following texts with the keyholder, who speaks English) and the location of the apartment is great. Marconi area is around a 55 minute walk to the Pantheon or you could get a bus or walk to the tram stops in Trastavere. We chose to walk as the weather was great and the path is pretty flat. The area is good - lots of shops, cafes and restaurants. RETRO restaurant is in the same street and is fabulously popular with locals. We loved our meal there. Across the main road is I SICILIANI - a great coffee place with delicious Sicilian treats. There are plenty of cafes and shops in the area including supermarkets and department stores, which we liked. It is a very safe and lively neighbourhood!
On the downside, the apartment's showerhead was not working - so we had to have baths (or shower at the gym - we went to Easy Fit at Trastevere - around 20 mins walk away). We could not figure out the dryer settings either, though this wasn't a problem as we washed our clothes in the machine then dried them around the apartment.
The flat is large and clean. It is minimal in terms of supplies (nothing supplied like tea, milk etc) and no toileteries or loo roll (we had half a roll left when we checked in). Only 4 towels were supplied and 2 of these were small. This was okay as we had just 2 of us.
The owner / keyholder were accomodating to our late flight - enabling us to check out later which we greatly appreciated.
The flat was great value and we loved staying in a "real" area of Rome, rather than in toursit headquarters. We loved visiting the local eateries and having high street stores so close was an asset as it's fun to window shop on the way into the city.
The bed was comfortable and we slept well here.
I would recommend this place for younger and more independent travellers and those like us who liked walking into town each day and mingling with the locals. It was great to be able to do your washing and access free wifi. The flat is large and clean - however, there are no luxuries like a hotel (which is what we wanted).
We had rome limousines collect us at the airport (45 Euros) to take us to the apartment. I would recommend this too to ensure ease finding the place - which is just off the main road of Marconi area.
