We stumbled upon Er Caffettiere in the late afternoon after exploring the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. Needless to say, my friend and I were exhausted. We needed a quick snack before dinner, as we'd skipped lunch. This place was extremely friendly, especially opposed to other experiences we've had in Rome where our service has be terrible. The coffee was high quality, and the staff was kind and accommodating. We both got the large mixed plate of the prepared foods. They had a wide selection of delicious dishes including, cooked carrots, spinach, barley mixed salad, a puttanesca style pasta, mushrooms balls, prosciutto and more! Would highly recommend this to people looking for a casual & fast dining experience. Not exactly the sit-down gourmet dinner though, in my opinion. They do serve alcohol though! I imagine this would be a great happy hour spot.
