We were a couple in room 232 for 4 nights. This is an hotel made it seems from 2 buildings so the rooms are different in size location or easiness of access. .To reach the room from the reception you needed a very good orientation sense ( and I have it and still got sometimes confused ).
INSTRUCTIONS TO REACH ROOM 232 FROM THE RECEPTION :
1-Elevator to 2 floor 2-exit elevator to the left walk a bit and turn right 3- you reach a staircase( ignore it) walk a bit and turn left 4- walk a bit and turn right 5- go down a 7-stepped staircase 6- go left and immediately right -walk a bit you reach another staircase (ignore it too ) 7- just turn left and again left 8) Congratulations !! You arrived rooms 232 and 230
ROOM 232 :
This was a Superior Room category. Maybe by size but certainly not by its usable space (see photos ) : after the door to reach the room itself there is an 5 meters long, '90 degrees,L shaped corridor. In its angle you have the bathroom and a closet with a big safe .The distance between the end of the bed and the wall is very narrow ( luckily I am not fat) and when you walk there beware of your head banging the flat screen. The bathroom had a nice bathtub but... strangely if you want to do a short shower there is nowhere to hang the handhold shower accessory ( and also no curtain or partition between bathtub and bathroom ). Also every time we flashed water in the toilet it dripped and we had a nice pool in the floor in its back . We reported it the first day but nothing happened.
The breakfast was quite good but it is a shame they had so little yellow cheese considering the many varieties Italy has to offer.
Noise : Even though we were in the inner side still there was noise a couple of very early mornings. Also here and there a strange clicking sound from outside the room not terrible but still annoying.
Internet : no problems connecting and using for free.
Taxi: the hotel offers a 59 Euro E Mercdedes class to/from Fiumicino . We arranged for 40 with excellent service and punctuality from www.Airport-Transfers-Direct.com

I stayed at this hotel last week of March 2012 with my husband and grown-up daughter. We booked well in advance and got a very good price for a suite with a terrace.
Our room was on the 5th floor and it was really great - very spacious and well-decorated, with a comfortable king-size bed and a decent-size sofa for our daughter. The bathroom was also well-equipped and spotlessly clean.
But the most huge thing was of course our private terrace which was quite large with a small table and several chairs and some orange trees in the pots.
We enjoyed the breakfast which was plentiful with good choice and high quality of products.
Wi-Fi signal was sometimes a bit weak, but probably this is the fault of this particular room only .
In general we liked this hotel. It was our 5th visit to Rome and we tried several other hotels in the same area, but during next visit we'll definitely choose our suite in the Mozart again.

Hotel Mozart, Via dei Greci, Rome

We stayed at the Hotel Mozart for six nights. This hotel has a lot of potential. It is very well situated opposite the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia, which offers free concerts, and just off the Via del Corso, one of the main shopping streets in Rome. The Spanish Steps and metro station are five minutes away. The rooms are pretty: bathrooms are small, but with nice shower, and beds are very comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful (to a point). The breakfast is generous and the breakfast room staff is particularly cordial and keeps traffic moving. There is a buffet of various kinds of pastries, breads, yogurt, sliced meats, cheese, hard boiled eggs. The staff will make an Italian coffee on request (the urn on the buffet contains a reasonably strong American-style coffee). The lounge is very pleasant and features two computers where you can check email or print a boarding pass.

Now the bad news: Promised wifi did not work on the third floor for the entire time. The staff made an effort to fix it the first day or two, but did nothing thereafter. They claimed it was the fault of my computer, which was not the case, since I had connection elsewhere in the hotel. Housekeeping was erratic, neglecting to replenish necessaries at times.

More important and regarding customer service: The hotel offers a car service to the airport: They charge a fairly high price for this service, well above the fixed rate that taxis are obligated by law to charge. When asked why one should use the hotel car service and not a taxi, the answer was that it was “guaranteed,” meaning the driver would show up on time and there would be no extras—no supplements. The implication was that a regular taxi could take advantage of a passenger despite rules about predetermined rates. Unfortunately, my husband, who had to leave Rome before me, was overcharged by the hotel car driver.

I informed the hotel manager about the problem with the driver (in writing and with an enclosed receipt--I have written twice now), but as of this writing I have received no acknowledgement, explanation, or apology (I was not seeking a refund—just courtesy). Hotels are obligated to back up a service they “guarantee.” For this reason, I would never stay in the Hotel Mozart again and do not recommend it, and certainly not for the price. There are lots of nice places to stay in Rome (and cheaper ones), where customer service is valued above all. This is not that place.

Just off the Via Corsa, in the centre of live in Rome, the hotel Mozart is a hidden jewel in the romantic capital of the world. Don't be put off by the smallish reception area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The lifts to the bedrooms are on the irst floor through a very comfortable bar area. The room was a little bit musty when we first entered but it soon vanished when we opened the window. A bit worrying at the time. The bedroom was not massive but well proportioned and clean. The carved hand painted headboard was a lovely feature. The reception staff were very helpful in directing us to the local sites and really good local restaurants off the touristy routes.
The Mozart is five minutes walk to the Spanish steps in one direction and to the piazza del popllo in the other direction.
Breakfast was continental in style and the choice of food was excellent, a perfect way to start the day. The Mozart is great value and in a perfect location to base yourself to see the highlights of Rome. Tip. Use the hotel pickup service to and from the airports, it worth the money saving time and cost. Go for it, the Mozart is a jewel in the side streets of the Eternal city.

Room Tip: Room looking into the central courtyard.
