We booked a taxi from our hotel on Via Crescenzio, a 13 euro taxi ride away. Not knowing the area, decided to go early in case it was booked up.
First disappointment was on arrival being told "CLOSED......NO OPEN TO 8".......ok, this was 7 pm, so decided on a walk and drink in the local area,
We returned at 8pm, were greeted by a sour faced woman who told us to "sit", before she disappeared thru the back.
We gave it about 5 minutes, drinks, no waiters / waitresses, nothing!,,,,,,,so we left, Best move we made and found a cracking restaurant called DORSIA just round the corner,,,,,,,,,,,
avoid TopKapi folks......and we didn't event have a meal!!

The only place in Rome where you can have a real experience of traditional Turkish food (kebab is only one of the hundreds of dishes of Turkish cuisine!) You should try especially the rich selection of antipasti. Family- run place, therefore you can have the home made taste in every choice. Booking needed, if you go there with large groups. Don't miss anything with eggplant, so delicious!

Great turkish food! Even if as a vegetarian I missed a no-meat option in the list of main courses, the veggie stuffed aubergine I had as a first course, together with a few of the appetizer salads, was more than enough.
The decoration and music make a lovely ambience, and the lady who seems to be the manager and was also waitressing the table is very friendly and fun.
Great options for turkish wine and a great polenta-based dessert topped with ice-cream made for a fabulous meal.
