I really give this place great marks! You won’t be disappointed. (Don’t be concerned about the lack of reviews, I believe it is rented out very frequently by a private company.)
Initially, it is Very Italian. The building that it is in feels about a thousand years old. Cobbled together over centuries. I found the up the stairs, around, up and then down the stairs fun (but I may have been alone in such view). It’s on the third floor. The apartment, however, really has a modern feel to it with nice amenities. It is small! (cozy? Intimate? take your pick) We were two couples and it worked great for us, despite its size.
It is very close to Campo de’Fiori, and therefore the rest of the entire city. I feel very fortunate to have found such a nice property at this great location because it was possible to get to virtually any sight within 20 minutes (regardless of where in the city), and most places are much quicker than that. Again, you won’t find a better location. The Pantheon and Trastevere are just a 10 minute walk away, while the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps were about 15 minutes’ walk. You can also walk to the Vittorio Emanuelle II monument in about 10 minutes, with the Colosseum/Forum about 20 minutes away, and the Vatican was also about 20 minutes’ walk.
The apartment is also very secure, being behind not only two outer doors, and then your door (the 3rd) having four deadbolts on it! I never worried about the neighborhood, but it was extra nice to feel that you were in a fortress. We walked everywhere. (By the way, the Italian equivalent of Uber is Mytaxi. We downloaded the app on to our phone and took it to the airport when we left. It worked great!)
Not a lot of seating in the main room. A couch and then some dining chairs. The kitchen had enough equipment to cook, but was fairly minimal. There is a InCoop a few blocks away (a small grocer). The ceiling is fantastic. They have a washing machine, but no dryer. The beds were very comfortable, and there is remote-controlled A/C in the apartment. We also thought that the apartment was remarkably clean.
Both bathrooms have showers, one ‘in suite’, the other is off the main room (next to the other bedroom). The showers each had large “rain” showerheads, and were very nice although fairly small in size (but the size was typical for Italy).
I was very pleased with the management. They gave us a great and warm welcome and attended to our needs.
Would stay again and we highly recommend!
Very good central location. Easy walk to most sites and many very good restaurants. Apartment was clean and comfortable. Car services through Key To Italy was easy to schedule, reliable and friendly.
Only 2 issues with the apartment which I include as constructive advice for management. WiFi was a little spotty, and was actually out for one day. Management was responsive, but we did need to use our cellular data more than anticipated. I would also recommend either fitted or larger sheets on the beds. The sheet tends to slide, exposing the mattress as you sleep.
