“Amazing Home in the Trastevere!”
Reviewed 14 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

My family and I just returned from a wonderful two week trip to Italy and Portugal. We started with 5 nights at the Nobleman's Loft and it could not have been a more perfect start! I had stayed in the Trastevere neighborhood years ago and knew that it would be a great home base neighborhood for my family, who were all visiting Rome for the first time. It can be very difficult to find enough room for a large group in the heart of any city, much less Rome, but this home had everything we needed and then some -- spacious living and dining rooms, fully stocked kitchen, lovely terrace, and an ideal location. We walked to all of the sights, and wonderful restaurants, night life and shopping were within a few minutes' walk. We also cooked at least a few meals at home -- which is such a nice alternative to having to eat every meal out -- and our family of 9 never felt crowded in this home. Also, Martin and Elizabeth were truly a joy with respect to communication. They replied promptly to my many, many questions and seemed to have real pride in ensuring that we enjoy their home. We would not hesitate to book this home again the next time we are in Rome!

“Fabulous Family Vacation”
Reviewed 4 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

My extended family stayed a week in this wonderful apartment. It was easy to get to all parts of Rome for sightseeing. We thoroughly enjoyed walking the neighborhood to find cafes and shops.

Upon my return home I discovered one of my Mother's earrings missing. Elizabeth & The Casapicard Team did not rest until they found it!

“At Home in Rome”

We prefer staying in this type of lodging as opposed to a hotel because it feels more like living there than being a tourist. This is a special flat. The main living areas were perfect for our family of 9 to gather in. The thing I noticed first upon entering were the tall cheery windows that provided good natural light. We treasured the interesting details of this historic structure while being very happy for the modern amenities that were thoughtfully present. The 4 bathrooms and kitchen all had up-to-date fixtures. The kitchen was fitted with all of the utensils, dishes and equipment that we needed. We did a lot of laundry in the washer and drier and were much relieved not to have to search out or spend time in a laundromat. I was too busy to watch TV, but it looked like there was good equipment for this. The wifi connection was adequate for all of our devices. We asked for and were provided with a baby cot for our 3-month old infant. I can't say enough positive about our interactions with the management. They were always quick to respond and quick to accommodate. We were directed to an excellent website to help us plan and prepare for our stay in Rome. They booked cars for our departure to the airport and made last minute changes to these which saved us a lot of hassle and frustration. We booked a Segway and Cooking tour through them. Both were exceptional. They gave us sound advice. Trastevere is a super location for seeing Rome. So much was right there at our doorstep within walking distance. It is also convenient for public transportation with bus and tram stops close by for when we went farther afield. A taxi stand was just a 5 minute walk away. We ate in a different restaurant in the neighbourhood each night. There were so many to choose from. I went out quite late to the grocery store and didn't feel unsafe. Whether we needed milk or diapers or cold medicine, these were all to be found just a few steps from our Home in Rome.

Thanks Jill for this excellent review. I note that your senior status as a reviewer reserves 5 star to very few places -- but reading into your review I feel very happy to see you had a five star experience at my home. It is an ancient place with a soul of it's own so it will be very pleased!

Large families will feel especially comfortable and welcome at the loft.

“Spectacular space, unbeatable location, incredible service and attentiveness - we would stay here again in a heartbeat”

We were an extended family plus friends in Rome for a week. When we walked into our apartment - the nobleman's loft - we could not believe our luck. The apartment itself is stunning especially the grand common living and dining space downstairs. We love to cook and the kitchen was both well-equipped and modern. My wife and I stayed in the master bedroom upstairs and the air conditioning went on try fritz the owners arranged for someone to come and fix it the same day, dropping off an excellent bottle of prosecco and some delicious pastries along the way. The other bedroom each had separate washrooms and comfortable beds. And the location cannot be beat. When we are in Rome again we will return and wound recommend the apartment without reservation and enthusiastically.

Thanks for the warm review Steve. It is great to have your sincere assessment when others have chosen to attempt to vandalize our family business with fake reviews. You and your friends are always welcome back and we've made your full name be a VIP code to unlock some extra goodies if you refer your friends.

My sister and I - plus our multilingual and resourceful manager Alessandro - have built a reputation for great service as we believe that Rome is full of beauty but having a local team to help with anything at all in a heartbeat is unique.

We welcome all large families on their "trip of a lifetime" - you'll find CasaPicard provides a beautiful comfortable place where you can all be together just strides away from the historic sites - with a small team of people that care to help you plan and take care of any logistics.

“The Noble Loft exceeded our expectations”

Our family of 9 (four adults and 5 teenagers) recently spent 5 days at the Noble Loft and found that it exceeded our expectations. The Nobleman’s Loft was perfect for our trip and I recommend it to those who want a comfortable, large lodging in a great location.

The things that we liked included cool air conditioning in the heat of Rome, a large dining table and chairs for our group, plenty of seating for all in the common area, excellent beds with plenty of bed clothes, a large American fridge with an ice maker, an excellent kitchen with a full compliment of utensils, dishes, pots, etc., plenty of outlets for charging our phones, tablets, hot water in the showers, library of tour books and good wifi. We also found the Nobleman’s Loft to be secure and the doors locked properly including the doors to the terrace. Additionally, we did not notice any street noise while in the house even at night. The only thing I would point out is that there are narrow stairs up to the loft but if you are walking the cobbled streets in Rome this should be no problem.

The location is perfect for sightseeing. You can easily walk to all the main sights or get to the taxi stand at Piazza Giuseppe Gioachino Belli in 5 minute walk. We would typically mix walking and cabbing to do our sightseeing. Trastevere is a very cool place and each night we walked around with our kids getting dinner, gelato, and souvenirs all within 2-5 minute walk from the Loft. The square or Piazza Di Santa Maria in Trastevere is just around the corner from the Noble Loft with the beautiful Basilica di Santa Maria in Trastevere where you can attend 930am and 530pm mass.

Lastly, Alex and Elizabeth were very helpful. Alex met us upon our arrival to orient us to the Nobleman’s Loft and helped us get to our departure transport. I used the transfer service that you can book with the Loft to and from the airport. It was on time and accommodated our party of nine with luggage.

Thank you kindly for your review Adam. It was a pleasure to host your family. We get a lot of enjoyment vicariously rediscovering Rome through those experiencing the Eternal City for the first time or seeing it again after many years and so we go to every effort to help you have a hassle free and truly relaxing stay.

The loft was my home and you'll find it at least as comfortable, safe and inviting as I would have it for my loved ones.

I must say that It is a pleasure to get real feedback from a sincere guest!
