This hotel was arranged for my sisters and I through a travel agency. We had checked it out online; however you never really know until you walk in the door. We were so thrilled with this charming place. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and the service was amazing. We were first time visitors to Italy and had no idea what to expect. Thank you Rome Garden for helping to make our Italian vacation so wonderful!
We stayed at the rose garden for 4 days.It is a very good hotel ,value for money. It is very clean, very good breakfast. Also the location is very good because the metro not very far, you can be in the city centre in a few minutes. The staff is freindly and they were ready to answer all your questions and to help you giving good suggestions on how to spend your time in Rome!!
They only disadnantage is that the walls are thin because we heard the people of the next door were talking in the midnight....
My friend and I spent a week in Rome, at first sight the hotel did'nt match up to the website. What a lovely place, the room was clean, sat tv, mini-bar and had evrything you required. Breakfast was plentiful and could be taken outside in the lovely 'Orange Garden'. The staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble, even giving tourist advice on the transport, restaurants etc. Across the road and down a side street there were plentiful places to eat, super food at super prices.
Travelling around was no problem as we were close to Metro stations and the bus stops were across the road. We even did a trip to Tivoli Gardens by Metro and bus, feeling quite adventurous. The locals were always on hand to give advice. A fabulous week and the Rome Garden is a really good base, recommend to anyone.
The Rome Garden Hotel was clean and well-appointed with friendly, helpful staff. The doors are little thin, so you hear quite a lot of noise from the hall and other rooms, but this wasn't a problem after about 11pm. The air conditioning worked well and the bathroom was brand new. The breakfast and breakfast room were nice, and the internet was reliable, although fairly expensive at 3 euros/hour. If you have a reason to be out on the via Nomentana this is a good choice and I would stay there again.
Stayed at the Rome Garden Hotel in June 2012. As 3 girls travelling together, we had a triple room with 3 single beds. Room was very good for the price we paid. Only downside we found (as females!) was only one mirror which was in the bathroom. Room was basic but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also basic, consisting of pastries, bread, cereals, fruit etc, however we could not complain due to the bargain price which we paid for the hotel.
The hotel is situated on a busy road, Via Nomentana, however it is set back from the road so this was not a problem. Approx 10 minute walk from the Termini. We took the shuttle bus from Ciampino to the termini and walked to the hotel which we found really easily. After walking around the sights in 40 degree heat (!) we decided to ask about buses at reception. The receptionist was v helpful. The neareast bus stop is situated across the main road and approx 2 min walk to your left. Here you will find frequent buses straight to all the main sights. Tickets for all day are 6euros, and you can get on any buses with this ticket.
Best Places = Via Veneto for up-market restaurants and bars. Pincio Gardens in Villa Burghese park for peaceful sunbathing and brilliant views of the whole city. Spanish steps area for bars and restaurants. River Tiber at night is beautiful.
Definitely will be returning to this wonderful city :)
