“Great Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 September 2012

The Hotel Barocco is a great find in Rome. We just spend three nights here. The location is ideal, within walking distance of the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Vie Veneto. The room we had was large and well appointed. The bathroom was amazing, large shower. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was one of the best we had in the 9 nights we were in Italy. You can order eggs almost any way you like them and the price includes the full breakfast.

We booked the pre/post transfers from the airport and port. What a deal, the package also includes the hop-on-hop off bus, fruit in the room and a drink. The transfers were on time in both a BMW and Mercedes.

I highly recoommend the Barocco.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Barocco Hotel. The location is very good as it is close to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. The view of the plaza from our room was a nice touch. The breakfast's were very good with made to order eggs and everything was plentiful. The a/c was good in the room, bed was comfortable and clean. The wi fi was easy to use. My only complaint was the size of the room was on the small size, not much space to lay out our suit cases as we were traveling for three weeks. The bathroom could of used an overhead light as it was a little dark at night. Other then these everything was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful and I would stay here again.

Dear Customer,
thank you for your critique and your appreciation of our service.
I would like to use your critique as an opportunity to advise other visitors coming to Rome with a complex itinerary like yours (three weeks of travel) to let us know during the booking phase. There are a few different ways we can assist people travelling with a lot of luggage. One is to store any bags that are not needed in the meantime, and another is to assign these guests a room with more space. I can’t promise to fully meet everyone’s needs in terms of space – we have to remember that the Barocco is located in one of the most historical sections of Rome, and free space is very limited. But at least give us a chance to try!
Thank you

My wife and I have just returned from Rome, after spending 6 days at the Barocco Hotel. It took me a long time before choosing a hotel in Rome. Thanks to the Trip Advisor Reviews I took the right decision. Perfect location friendly and efficient staff. Great breakfast. Another reason that was very important for me to decide for the hotel were the answers given by the manager to those guests that had any complain. His attitude shows respect for the clients.
Congratulations to all the staff.

Dear Mr. Debiasi,
thank you very much for your reply and your appreciation of our customer service and the responses I provided on Trip Advisor.
The timing of your message was also perfect, because I received it right after having dealt with a disheartening complaint. It was from a Brazilian client who really crossed the line between a civil, two-sided conversation and unjustified offensiveness – in terms of both the nature of the compliant and the language used – towards this company and the professionals working here every day.
Comments like yours give me such encouragement – not only in that they are positive, but because those of us who are truly passionate about our work need constant reassurance that the job is being done well. If you start to go off course once in a while, good feedback from a customer can do what a compass does for the captain of a ship.
Thank you

My husband and I started our trip to Europe in Rome and after reading other great reviews we chose this hotel. Hotel Barocco lived up to all of its reviews. The breakfast is amazing, with made to order omelettes, and specialty coffees/capucciono etc. Best part of the day! The beds were so comfy, the room was clean and modern. The bathroom had a great marble decor with huge shower.
The location is spectacular and we walked to everything. The staff is amazing and were so helpful in helping us with directions and best routes.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Rome and wanting a great comfortable stay with great breakfast and fantastic staff.

Room Tip: Our room was at the end of the hall. we had no issues with noise or anything. I have a feeling all r...

This was our fourth visit to Rome as the springboard to our european adventures. Each time we have stayed at different hotels. Hotel Barocco is a special gem! It is very centrally located a few steps off Piazza Barberini, one of the Hop on/off bus stops. We traveled with another couple and both rooms were immaculate, nicely appointed and had modern toilet facilities. The staff was very accommodating, friendly and warm. We had cocktails in the lounge area on our first evening there, after a long day of touring. The bartender was most enjoyable to sit and chat with as well as many other couples that stopped in for a drink before their dinner plans. It was like visiting with old family friends on a holiday! The breakfast, included in our room fee was very plentiful, most delicious, and served in a very timely manner. It included menu options as well as a bountiful buffet. I would definitely stay here again upon our next return to Rome!!!!
