My wife and I stayed here for four days from the 17th April 2015 and found the location to be second to none with amazing views. On our arrival we were greeted by the extremely helpful and welcoming; Gianluca, one of the two brothers whose family own the property. He gave us the low down on where all of the main attractions were in relation to where we were staying as well as in depth recommendations on where to eat and drink.

Both Gianluca and Pierfrancesco were always on hand during the day if you needed anything, but were in no way obtrusive. We were made to feel very welcome and to treat the place as our own during our stay.

The rooms were very comfortable and the facilities in the communal kitchen area for making breakfast were ideal. Having the communal terrace area was also great for having a glass of wine or two to wind down after a long day of sight seeing!

This is somewhere that we would definitely stay again should we revisit this great city!

I stayed 15 days at this charming, family-run pension. The location is set in the heart of Ancient Rome amidst the Roman Forum, right off Via Imperial, the main thoroughfare. It is within walking distance of many, many major attractions as well as bus and metro lines. Also, there were many good restaurants nearby. The building itself is comprised of apartments on three floors, each including a full size kitchen, sitting room/dining area and hallway, and private rooms. The fourth floor has been newly renovated into a suite. My single room was certainly suitable in size and decor; it had good natural lighting as well as reading lamps for night time. Pierfrancesco, one of the two brothers who manage the apartments was the perfect host. He made sure everything was to my satisfaction and was a wealth of information in terms of recommendations for sites of interest and how to get there as well as cultural events going on and good restaurant choices. I would highly recommend staying here.

Luigi and his family made our stay here very comfortable. This is his family home and you are invited to join him like his family. The decor is very traditional and you stay on a separate floor to the family so are left to look after yourself. You do have to help yourself to breakfast but there was plenty on offer. You have the use of a fridge so you can buy things locally for lunch and as you are so close to the sites you can easily pop back. We normally enjoy camping holiday so for us this was a real treat and added to our experience of staying in Rome. We happened to be there for a national holiday and we were invited up to the beautiful roof terrace to join the family for an evening meal and to see the festivities during the holiday which was a once in a lifetime experience. It was clean and very welcoming. The location is amazing and meant we could walk to many places. The only place we caught public transport to was the Vatican however we walked back one evening, even with our 9 year old. I have marked the service at a 4 because you are left to look after yourself, however they are always available to answer questions and are very friendly and approachable. The rooms are comfortable but not necessarily huge. The bathroom was compact but absolutely fine for our requirements. I would not hesitate to return or recommend it to anyone who feels they want a bit of traditional family hospitality.

In Residenza Maritti you feel like at home - Gianluca is such a nice host that you really feel at ease and very comfortable. The location is wonderful, you can easily walk to many attractions - Fontana di Trevi, Coliseum, the main train station (Statione Termini), where you can take the sightseeing bus or the train to so many places in Italy! We were taken directly from the airport to the hotel by táxi, everything without any effort, for Gianluca took care of it! You can prepare your meals the way you like it, whenever you want (no timetables!). There are always delicious cakes waiting for you when you get back "home" from your visits in Rome.

Beautiful family home transformed into a delightful BnB. Our very comfortable and spacious room looked out over the ruins of the Imperial Forum, all the way to the Colosseum. More than enough room for a family of three and the shower was large and clean. The help yourself breakfast simple and plentiful and with the large dining table and warm welcome and hospitality, it felt like we were staying in a friend's house. The brothers, Gian Luca and Pierfrancesco, couldn't do enough to help us. Even organised postage of my daughter's lost iPhone from Venice to Australia! The area nearby has great restaurants and bars and close to all the historic sites. We loved our stay and will recommend all our friends enjoy their hospitality.

Room tip: Any room looking over the forum.
