Enjoyed listening to the tour guide provide more information about the place, which was definitely much more enriching as many facts that she provided could not be found on panels or boards in the attraction. Tour took about 45 minutes which was a good duration. Afterwards we were then free to explore and take as many photos as we want. Knowing more history about this place gave me deeper understanding and greater interest in this amphitheatre.

A must-see when in Rome. Highly recommend doing a guided tour - you will be amazed at the history and stories and you’ll be able to skip the line or be prepared to wait for hours to buy tickets in one line and more hours for the second line with tickets. We did the OverRome tour. Our guide, Valentina, was very knowledgeable and knew how to engage kids as well. Well done.

So crowded. The vendors and salesmen harassing you as you try to take in the splendor of this historical site ruins it for you. The line to get in is absolutely insane as well. We had tickets purchased in advance for the Palatine Hill, Forum and Colosseum but after the Palatine and Forum we saw the line for this and we ran away. Fast.
