“a bit overpriced and the reservation thing....”
Reviewed 1 March 2012

we came w/o reservation but still had to pay the fee! if you want to see the best of the best Bernini, you have to come here. just one would make you satisfied but they're all here and he was a genius. after special events surcharge and "reservation" fee it was nearly $20 ($1.4 to 1e) so bit of a stretch in my opinion, but if you've never seen a Bernini sculpture, just go. that alone is worth it. AND if they say sold out, be sure to ask. that was the case for us. a pair of tickets was all they had left, and all we needed.

“Art in a small villa!”
Reviewed 29 February 2012

There is nothing like this, a Villa of one of the oldest dynasties of Rome, where every piece is a piece of masterclass with no exceptions.

Due to the limited visitors per hour, you have the time to check all pieces, and pace through it on your own tempo.

This is a "must do" in Rome.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed 28 February 2012

Must reserve in advance (we reserved two days in advance). The park surrounding it is great just to walk around and see the fountains. No photos inside the museum (disappointing), but the bag-check is free, so it is nice not to have to carry everything around.

“For me one of the best places in Rome”
Reviewed 26 February 2012

Being an art lover, I was amazed by Villa Borhese. I loved it!!! But, if you are clueless of art, it is best to hire a guide. They also have audio guides, that I do not like, being a tour guide myself. It might cost more, but trust me it is w o r t h it!!!

“Golf Cart”
Reviewed 23 February 2012

We rented a golf cart to visit the Villa, BEST 20EUROS ever spent!! Our little girl feel asleep while we drove around the entire villa. When we got off the bus (sighting seeing bus), the cart place is in the parking garage.
