This was the best tour we have ever taken in Rome. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, and took us to places that most tourists never hear about. A great way to get around quick in Rome. I highly recommend the golf cart tour!

We were going to be in Rome for a few days prior to our 10 day Mediterranean Cruise. There were six of us with luggage traveling together. We were picked up at the airport and transferred to our hotel. Day 1 we took a walking tour of the Forum and the Colosseum. We met our guide at the Colosseum and took a few hour walking tour. The line was around the block but we skipped the line and walked right in. Our guide was so knowledgeable! He even helped us with restaurant recommendations. The next day we were picked up by a 6 passenger golf cart. We took a 6 hour tour of Rome. We were able to get off the beaten path and drive on all the back alleys and see all the little gems of Rome. We stopped for lunch at an awesome local restaurant and had the best homemade Ravioli. The next day we were picked up at our hotel and transfered to the cruise ship. What and awesome vacation! I highly recommend Gioia Private Tours & Trips for your next vacation! Gina Copanzzi

We were on Vision of the Seas 13 day Mediterranean cruise. We stoped at the Port of Civitavecchia and took the cruise ship's "Roma Express" train to Rome (there is a toilet on the train). We arrived at St Peter's Station in approx 50 minutes. We had booked the half day golf cart tour online with Gioia Tours. Roberto was right there outside the train station (it is a small station). He was the best guide! We saw the "tourist sites" as well as the "real Roma". He was able to go thru traffic as well as down all the small side streets. He was very accomodating and gave us the best tour of our trip. I would highly recommend seeing Rome this way,no walking or waiting in traffic.

It is so much better to have a guide rather than just a driver and even better when that person is passionate about the areas where you are travelling and about life itself.

Such passion brings the experience to life and this is certainly what we experienced in our tour from Riomaggiore to San Gimignano and everything in between.

Don’t believe it when people say you only need enough time in Pisa for the tourist photo. There is so much more to learn.
Ask Andreas.

Relatives had previously had an unforgettable time and we decided to book a tour too! We found booking extremely easy, informative and professional through email. This was the beginning of the best decision we made for our day in Rome! We arrived at Civitavecchia port on a cruise and were met early by a Maurizio. He was lovely and friendly and gave us a little information as we drove into Rome. It was very, very warm and the comfortable and cool car was just what we needed! We were lucky to have good, fairly clear roads with no major traffic, which meant we were in Rome in about an hour. We transferred into our golf buggy with Victor our driver, guide and by the end of the day, friend. What an amazing time he gave us. He was very knowledgeable about his birth city and passionate to share the history and city with us! My parents are in their 70’s and although have good mobility, were glad of the buggy’s ability to park as near as possible to all the main attractions! Being as the weather was extremely warm so was I!!! We saw so much of this beautiful city in the short time available to us. Victor stopped and showed us hidden gems and gave us information and stories that only a Roman would know! You will NOT have this experience on any bus-as they would not be able to access the small little roads and paths. We could ask questions and Victor would answer us and pick up on our interests and it would lead to more conversation. We stopped for lunch at a lovely traditional little place and went for gelato at a wonderful shop. When our time came to an end we were greeted by Maurizio in his cool and comfortable car once more to take us back to the ship. Our day was unforgettable and we will certainly tell anyone who wants an unique experience and to see the real Rome to book with you!

Fantastic great guide a wonderful way to see the sights of Rome. Would recommend this as you can go into places that cars are not permitted.
Advise booking in advance for your tours and eyes of roam were on time with all the tours we booked and our guides very attentive.

Matthias was a knowledgeable and helpful tour guide. The golf cart was stocked with water to keep us hydrated on our 4 hour tour. I felt nervous as we made our way through traffic, but quickly became comfortable with Matthias' expertise. He showed us all the main sites and provided great information about the history of each location. He was able to answer our questions. I highly recommend this tour for anyone with a short amount of time in Rome or wanting a brief overview of each location. You are able to get really close to each site, much closer than a Hop On Hop Off Bus, so you are able to see more in a smaller amount of time and with less walking. We had very little sleep on the plane and were dealing with an 8 hour time difference and only 30 hours in Rome, so this was the perfect tour for our group of 4.

We (parents and 2 teenage daughters) booked a tour our first morning in Rome. Such a great way to be introduced to the city. You cover more area then you ever could on foot. Dan was our driver/guide and he is clearly passionate and exuberant about his city. It was infectious. He even took us to a great gelateria and made a great suggestion for lunch. We were with him for about 4 hours and their price is totally worth it. I can't imagine visiting Rome without this fabulous introduction. Thank you, Dan! We all loved this tour!

What makes a guide is their complete focus on making your experience special.
We asked Roberto to avoid the major squares, since we have seen them and he listened. We toured around the outskirts of the city which we never could have done alone. He took us to the Catacombs, Villa Borghese, Churches, neighborhoods, vistas, a special lunch, all while telling stories and history of his beloved Roma.
You should consider using Roberto (and his team of guides) on your next trip to Rome

Our family of four emailed Andreas and received very prompt response with a suggested itinerary for taking the high-speed train from Rome to Pisa Centrale train station. Andreas met us there and drove us around Pisa and Florence in a very comfortable Mercedes van, which was spacious and well equipped for 11 hours of touring in two different cities. Thanks to Andreas, we were able to hit everything on our bucket list....and more, including skip-the-line access into the Accademia to see the David sculpture. Andreas also took us to a wonderful local restaurant for a lovely lunch, which we all really enjoyed. I highly recommend a private tour experience with Andreas for a very comfortable, enjoyable, efficient way to cover a lot of ground. We never would have been able to enjoy the highlights of Pisa AND Tuscany all in one day without Andreas.
