We ate here our second night in Rome. We had reservations, which was good because there were a good amount of people waiting for tables. Service was ok, food was decent (risotto was very good). My kids liked their food. Not fabulous, what you dream about Italian food, but it was good.

Outstanding! Only had a week in Rome but ended up going here a second time because the first meal was such a highlight. Stopped for lunch after the Museo Nazionale Romano at the Palazzo Massimo. It is literally two blocks away. One of the daily specials was Florentine steak. Turned out to be one of the high points of our trip. It was better than what I'd had in Florence and was enough to feed me, my wife and our teenage son. I am crying and drooling at the same time thinking about it. The second time did not disappoint either. Excellent waitstaff and convenient location for Termini and museums.

The Ristorante Alesia is located not too far from Roma Termini. We went specifically for pizza and visited during the early part of the dinner service. We were glad we did because the small downstairs restaurant quickly filled up and people ended up waiting. We ordered a Calabrese and Roma pizza and a Pizza Margarita. Both were very good with a good crust and a good ratio of sauce and cheese. The Calabrese and Roma had raw onion on top that is only partway cooked in the oven. I prefer cooked onion but that’s me. The waiter was efficient. We received complimentary limoncello after dinner.

We discovered Ristorante Alessio after another recommended restaurant could not fit us in on a Tuesday evening. They graciously seated us without a reservation. The service and the food were excellent! Friendly and accurate recommendations on wine and food. We enjoyed it so much that we returned for another delightful meal on our last night in Rome.

My daughter and myself eat here during our city break in Rome. It is a lovely little Italian restaurant just round the corner from our hotel. We hadn’t booked but managed to get a table, the service was good, the waiters were friendly and the food was good too. We did feel a little rushed, maybe the table was booked for later, but otherwise a pleasant experience.
