“Great location for budget travelers on a very busy noisy street”
Reviewed 19 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

My husband and I stayed for 11 nights over the Christmas break.

PROS:
- Location
Right next to a metro stop with several bus stops right outside the apt.
- Price
Great value for the space
- Kitchenette
Great for preparing light meals
- Balcony
Great for sitting to people watch with a fantastic view of the Birnini fountain

CONS:
- Location and noise
It is a big main street with high traffic in cars, buses and people. The single paned windows does not keep out the noise at all. The buses seems to run through the night non stop and people are out late. You hear everything.
- Overall quality
The bathroom sink barely works. The shower leaks out onto the bathroom floor. The bed sheet was old and rough. We slept on top of the blanket and used the extra blanket instead.
- Bed was very uncomfortable
It was not a traditional mattress but a firm foam on top of a slate frame.

I think this place would've been appreciated more during the warmer temp. But because it's winter time, we stayed in more then we would've and therefore craved more creature comforts. One, a bigger TV, the TV is the same size as our laptop monitor. Two, more comfortable bed, it is not a mattress but a hard foam on top of a bed frame. Three, an actual kitchen, the owner said it was a regular kitchen that one can make a real meal. But, it was just two electric stove top and a microwave. (I specifically asked him before coming because I wanted to cook full meals and he said it was a full kitchen. But I suppose a single man's idea of a full kitchen is different from mine :)

Overall, if budget is your priority then this place is great for the price point. However, think of the quality as a really good hostel with a small kitchenette. If you don't even want to hear the word hostel, perhaps you should look and pay for a higher quality.

Big applause for Alessandro for his willingness to work with us on increasing the internet usage. We didn't realize that the apartment only came with 100mb of data and you would have to purchase more. Between Google Maps, Tripadvisor, e-mail, and facebook, the 100mb went real quick. But Allessandro helped us out.

“Great apartment in a nice location.”
Reviewed 17 May 2013 for a stay in April 2013

This is a nice apartment with a furnished kitchenette, comfortable big bed, and pull-out sofa if you're traveling with others. Apartment was very clean, and not in a noisy area. It's located close to a metro station but many sites of interest are within walking distance. WiFi (included) was helpful. Owner made making reservation simple. The only down side is the 5 story walk-up.

“Excellent Location, Clean, Comfortable, and a Great Value”
Reviewed 12 May 2013 for a stay in May 2013

My wife and I stayed at Studio Apartment Tritone in May 2013. The apartment is clean, the bed and couch are comfortable, and the location couldn't be better - close to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, excellent shopping, and great restaurants. Alessandro was very helpful and was really great about working around our schedule (our flight was delayed by several hours). The apartment is actually quite large, and the floor to ceiling windows let in a lot of light (however, there are room darkening curtains, so if you want to sleep-in, the light won't bother you). The view from the balcony is great! The kitchen has everything you would need to cook for yourself. The apartment is also very quiet with the windows closed. Overall, we would recommend Studio Apartment Tritone to anyone looking for a great value and a comfortable place in Rome!

“Comfortable, homey apartment”
Reviewed 31 October 2012 for a stay in October 2012

We enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It's in a great location, between the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. It's on a major, well-traveled thoroughfare and we felt safe coming back there late at night. Alessandro, the owner, met us at the apartment and showed us around the immediate neighborhood, pointing out where the supermarket was, among other things. We ended up having breakfasts and some lunches and dinners at the apartment, saving some money that we spent on a couple of memorable dinners and lunches in restaurants. The only reason I didn't give five stars is that there were loose floorboards, which brought down the quality of the apartment. Alessandro is planning to do some renovations, including fixing the floors, so that won't be an issue in the future. That said, we had a very pleasant stay and were glad we stayed there.

“Great central stay”
Reviewed 12 September 2012 for a stay in September 2012

Great place to spend a few nights in the centre of Rome. We spent 3 nights here and were welcomed in by Alessandro, who kindly waited as our flight was delayed.

The studio is up 5 flights of stairs, which kept us fit during our stay.

The apartment is very homly and has everything you need. It has great views and a large balcony, the only one in the building.

As it is an old building a few bits of the apartment are not in perfect order (the wooden floor is a bit rickety), but this adds to the authenticity and charm of the place.
