We went there because it was close to our B&B and got the recommendation from our host. The procedure is different to other restaurants because you pay 25 Euros per person and you can eat for that or not (its written on the menu). We could choose from 3 different offers per course. So we had different appetizers, wonderful pasta as first and as second course rabbit and a kind of goulash. Everything was very yummi and the white wine a la casa was excellent but for the red one we would suggest to order a bottle. The staff was not too friendly but they explained everything to us and were attentive. So we had nothing to complain. On the contrary we were very satisfied even with the bill.

Rude staff, it was obvious they didn’t want to serve us. Only up side is that the prices were very good. We left after our starter.

We discovered this typical Roman trattoria by chance we really enjoyed the dinner. This restaurant has a fix price per person (€25 without drinks) they give you starters ( bruschetta, beans and tuna pate’) then you can choose pasta main and side dishes and for dessert biscuit and sweet wine. Good portions and good quality food we try tagliolini with cacio e pepe and tagliatelle with lemon parmesan and basil the quantity of food was so much that we share the main a typical involtino with tomato sauce , cicoria ( bitter leaf vegetable typical of Rome) and roast potatoes. You cannot leave without trying the sweet biscuits a typical Roman night if you are lucky and it’s a Summer night eat outside and enjoy the locals. Don’t be worried of the waiters they are Romans look rough but they are really nice. Will go back in winter with other friends with good appetite.

This really a very good place for a quick lunch. Vitello tonato and mozarella with fruit. The chef makes everything fresh, so really a very good place for a lunch. Suggestions are written on the blackboard. Not too pricy, and very friendly waitress. The music could be better :)

It's kind of funny to read negative reviews by Australians or Americans of this incredible Roman Osteria, because what they call "arrogance" is actually character and that is why romans are so unique. The host and waiters of Osteria Dell"Angelo will immediately explain to you what are you getting in, which is a feast for angels. Three appetizer, choice of four pastas, choice of four entrees and four side dishes and then dessert and sweet wine.
Everything we ordered was outstanding. From the 3 different and very tasty appetizers, to matriciana and carbonara pastas, all the way to the duck and the involtini, this was a night to remember. The price was very reasonable. So, my foreign friends, when in Rome do as Romans and don't think that the world revolves around your provincial mentality. Highly recommend Osteria Dell'Angelo.
