This seemed to be a brand new renovation, with the apartment neat and clean. The beds were good and there were plenty of pillows and extra linens available. We had most everything we needed in the kitchen and a washing machine in the bathroom which was handy. The location was right around the corner from the Metro and a taxi stand and across the street from the old city walls.
There was a grocery store and pharmacy within a block. It was outside the central area of Rome which meant that it was a bit bigger and more reasonable than closer in but the Metro comes frequently. We never waited more than a few minutes for a train and we were just 2 stops from the Colosseum.
The downsides were that it was on the first floor (also an upside!) so it could be noisy with foot traffic at night. My son used earplugs in his bedroom which had a window on the street. I found that having the fan( provided )turned on was sufficient for me. Apartment had windows but was a bit dark. However we spent little time there so that was okay.
All in all were very happy with the accommodations.
