I know that some reviewers found this hotel hard to find, but it was literally a ten minute walk away from the shuttle bus stop at the Port. We put google maps on and didn't struggle at all. It is in a narrow road and it doesn't look much from the outside, but its an amazing building inside.

Our room was very large, but quite gloomy and very basic. Bed was pretty hard, but I quite liked the antique furniture as it suited the style of the hotel. Would have been nice to have some information in the room about how to work things, when breakfast was etc as we didn't get any information at all from reception on arrival.

Breakfast in the ballroom is the highlight of this hotel....as others have said it is a bit of faded grandeur, but still very impressive. The breakfast was decent, good variety and tasty.

Ultimately though it was the location for us, plenty of restaurants and bars within a stone's throw and in the thick of the historic centre of Naples. Overall a good choice for Naples, especially with limited time as we had.

Spent one night in Naples. Hotel staff is very accommodating. Kept our luggage after we checked out so we could visit the museum. Breakfast area is beautiful. Area around the hotel has many excellent restaurants. Would definitely stay there again.

This hotel is an excellent hotel within walking distance of many sites in the Center city. The staff is wonderful and helpful. The breakfast included many items to choose from on the buffet. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

This is a 2 star hotel at the very best measure. The web site makes much of the old ballroom where breakfast is served, but doesn't show the water damage all over the ceiling caused by rainwater penetrating the roof. When checking in, we were a bit disconcerted by the brusque manner of the female receptionist, bordering on rude. The rooms are very, very basic. We shared a small balcony with the next door room, so never used it. The wifi was hopeless, cutting in and out throughout the day and night. We were disconnected more often than connected. The room had only one pillow per person, so I went back to reception and asked for two more. Two days later, they were delivered, after asking twice more. The TV. Many Islamic channels, which seems very strange, when considering the ethnic mix of the clientele. Only two English language channels. To make an attempt at balance, the breakfast was quite good, with bacon, scrambled eggs, baked beans and many sweet options. Also, the girl who greeted us with a smile each morning was very nice, a stand out amongst a very sour bunch.

This hotel, which is actually an old palace, is quite a ways down a side "road" from Spaccanapoli, the main street through the center of Naples. I say "road" because they drive everywhere and anywhere, even when the cobbled street seems to narrow or blocked by pedestrians and Vespas. The lobby is unassuming, but the staff is great. We had a large-ish room with air conditioning (you must as the desk to turn it on for you) which was very comfortable. The breakfast room is actually the former ballroom for the palace and is beautifully decorated, both walls and ceiling. The breakfast is very good with many options (including eggs and bacon) particularly considering that this is Italy, where they do not generally eat much breakfast. There is a elevator which is nice since many older hotels in Italy do not. The hotel is located in a safe area of the older part of Naples, very near the Church of Santa Chiara, a major landmark in Naples. This is a good choice for a hotel in Naples, even though it is a bit of a walk from the main train station. I do not know if they have parking available since we always travel by train.
