Hotel Santa Chiara is a jewel. The hotel and our room were beautifully furnished and located on one of the liveliest and interesting streets we have seen. Don’t let yourself be discouraged by the graffiti —we felt safe at all times at Via Benedetto Croce and the “centro storico” (historic center). Lots of restaurants, pastry shops, gelaterias, etc. on this street. The neighborhood is so full of life and activity—yet our room was quiet.

Kudos to the hotel staff for their exceptional customer service. Gennaro made us feel right at home and was certainly attentive and responsive. He treated us like friends. Licia was truly our guardian angel. Our luggage was delayed by two days and she gave us reassurance, provided toiletries and booked us a taxi to the airport. Licia even contacted the Lost and Found office at the airport on our behalf. Customer service with a heart is how I would describe Santa Chiara’s staff. I am impressed and would stay here again.

Beautiful, clean hotel right in the middle of Napoli. You're within walking distance of everything, but within the hotel is very quiet, relaxing and luxurious. We unfortunately only stayed one evening, but we enjoyed out stay very much. The best was very comfortable, the bathroom was super clean and in good working order. The breakfast in the morning was ok, nothing super fancy honestly, but it was nice. From outside, when you enter into the hotel, the courtyard is absolutely stunning.

My 78 year old mother, 17 year old daughter and I stayed at the hotel the week of Easter and it was perfect for us.
The staff is focused on making your stay comfortable and enjoyable and the location was great. The hotel is almost hidden which adds to its charm!
The breakfast offered is delicious and the ladies even provided me with gluten free options.
We were honored to participate in their one year anniversary celebration! Your experience is important to the owners and the staff.
Do not miss the view from the rooftop terrace!

Room tip: Room 207 accomodated 3 adults comfortably. It is beautiful and we had a great view of the Easter parades from our balcony. Clean!

We really liked this place. It is difficult to find particularly in the evening when the gates are closed. However we had a great family room with a mezzanine level for the kids. Service was nice, staff were helpful. And I like the location in the heart of the historic district. Recommended.

My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend.

We arranged an airport transfer via the hotel which, although a bit more pricey than a standard taxi, was a good idea as the driver took us all the way to reception. Why is that important? Well, you will struggle to find this place if left to your own devices. It's in a courtyard just off the Scappanapoli and the entrance is located on the second floor. So even stood right outside it's hard to tell that you've arrived.

The reception staff were all very friendly and helpful and the hotel is lovely. There are maybe only 6-8 rooms, so it's quiet and laid back. Our room was large with a double height plus ceiling accommodating a mezzanine floor with an extra single bed and dressing area. The windows were covered with huge wooden shutters and the feeling of the place just transports you back in time.

You'll struggle to find a better location in Naples. Step out of the courtyard and you're right into the bustle of the street.

From the roof terrace you get a cracking view over to Vesuvius and across the rest of Naples. We didn't stay up there long as it was a bit cold. Would love to return in warmer weather
