We spent four nights here at the end of our Italy tour and could not be happier with our experience. Clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful with good, not perfect, but entertaining English. Much better than our Italian! Excellent snacks and drinks from the bar...not especially what you want for a meal, but for a snack, very nice. Rooftop lounge very comfortable with an elevator and a view across Sorrento to Naples. Breakfast excellent, have the heart shaped pastries! Enjoy the 3 euro prosecco poolside. We had a private balcony but never used it. Consider a private driver to tour Amalfi Coast so you can spend time where you wish rather than meet a schedule. Our only regret...the tour mind you was very pleasant, just wish we had more time. Nice opportunity to meet other guests.

Room Tip: A room with a view would seem obvious, but we didn't use our private space.

Stayed here with my wife from August 1st to the 5th. The hotel is about a 20 minute ride up the mountain from the city Center but we'll worth the trip. The view overlooks Sorrento and the Bay of Naples on one side and Salerno on the other. The view is breathtaking and post card perfect! . The hotel offers a shuttle that goes into town 3 times in the AM and 3 times in the PM. ,this makes you plan your time more than what I would have preferred. Honestly this was a small inconvenience and the only draw back to the location.

We had a room on the second floor that offered a great view.. The hotel is beside the road but the noise is minimal and since your out of town and up the mountain there is no noise at night and the rooms are very quiet. The room is big enough so you don't feel cramped and you walk out to your own sitting area with another walk out to a shared Terrace. Although it's shared we were the only ones to use it

All of the staff are very friendly and sincerely want yo do anything they can to ensure you have a great stay. I would especially say this is most true of Raffalle (hope I spelled her name right). She is the waitress in the restaurant. She could not have been nicer, friendlier or more helpful and a real gem for the hotel!

The breakfast is very good with lots of hot and cold selections. The recast rant fir dinner offers a beutiful view overlooking the city at night and the food matches. We both thought the food was as good as we found in Sorrento. That said, ask the front desk to reserve a table at a local restaurant called Panarama. It's five minutes from the hotel and the shuttle will take you there. I had the best pizza I had in Italy or anywhere else for that matter. Same was true for the seafood anti pasto. My wife also loved the linguini.

All and all I can't say enough about this hotel and highly recommend it!

Room Tip: Check with the hotel before you arrive to see where you catch the shuttle to the hotel so you avoid a 45 Euro taxi ride.

To all (and I mean all - receptionists, maids, bar staff, restaurant staff and shuttle/tour drivers) a big thank you. Our stay at your hotel was fantastic.
The courteous and prompt replies to my fact finding emails set the scene and the 10 day stay continued in similar fashion.
We were afforded a free pick-up from the train station and on arrival a free bottle of wine and food was presented to us as a welcoming gift.
This is a small hotel of 25 rooms and I can honestly say the staff were superb - always there to answer questions and with a genuine smile, but not overpowering. I believe the relatively few guests allow the staff the time for a homely and personal touch.
A new restaurant must be applauded with the waitress deserving of a special mention for her friendly ways and great service even when busy. So too the shuttle driver who was most polite providing a service which always left and arrived on time and with a spotlessly clean bus (the hotel have 2).
The maids made a great effort to speak English each morning and had a smile on their face - even in hot weather and so early in the day. They were creative with their towels as two days we came home to find swans in the shape of a heart and an elephant (with leaves as 2 eyes) on our bad. How sweet and time consuming was that!
Nothing was too much trouble. Simply if, for example at the pool, phone and have light refreshments bought to you and then added to your bill so no need to carry cash.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and the outside was washed down daily from pool to entrance steps.
We made use of one hotel organised trip, namely the Amalfi coast. 'Peppi' was great as he pointed out points of interest and stopped for photo opportunities where possible. Also hour plus visits to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. This could not have been done by SITA bus due to time constraints. Note the hotel did do a number of other trips but being fairly independent we visited the likes of Herculeneum, Vesuvius, Pompeii and Napoli by our own steam. As a footnote we used both boat and train to transport ourselves around and whilst weary of pickpockets and aware of horror stories we were careful and enjoyed the experience.
I would also recommend the restaurant Il Panorama, to which we were shuttled to and from free of charge.
The distance from Sorrento is a double-edged sword with a 20/25 minute 8km trip to town on a very windy road but superb views past Sorrento and on to Capri. The sunsets are to die for. The shuttles my wife and I found to be at convenient times and highly efficient as said above. Just be aware a little planning before leaving the hotel is required.
Hotel Prestige in no small way helped us to have a fantastic holiday in Sorrento. Very well run, friendly staff and helpful, clean and as a base to explore the region I have nothing but praise and highly recommend.

As many previous reviewers have said, stunning location with great views and excellent staff. The restaurant has great food - not just pizzas and pasta - the veal is to die for, and the prices are very reasonable. The out of town location is more than compensated for by the free shuttle into Sorrento.

We stayed at Hotel Prestige for two weeks for our honeymoon. We were looking to relax, eat great food, and see the coast. We stayed in the suite which was beautiful. We had our own private balcony that overlooked the entire mountain. Our last night we moved into a different room, since we decided to stay an extra day, and it was smaller, but decent sized with a patio. The hotel was VERY clean, and the staff was AMAZING. The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, and help us in any way possible. The hotel is very quaint and reflects so much of the culture! The days we wanted to relax and not go out on excursions, we stayed at the beautiful pool and were able to order food and drinks right to us. The hotel provides a shuttle at certain times of the day which was extremely convenient and we would never have to worry about transportation. The shuttle would take you to two of the local restaurants or downtown Sorrento. Downtown Sorrento was beautiful. You could find the beach, local shops, and so much food! Everything was VERY reasonably priced and a lot cheaper than what we expected or even spend in New Jersey. The hotel also offered many different excursions. These trips weren't your typical tours where you would spend hours listening to audio and walking around. They were very small and personal trips. The driver would take you and walk you all around different towns, show you amazing views, places to eat, share history, and then you were able to have hours on your own to explore, eat, shop, or just stay at the beach. We took excursions to Naples, Capri by boat, Positano, Amalfi and had a DELICIOUS night of dinner and live music at a family restaurant in Positano. We even took the bus right outside the hotel for 3 euros one day and traveled to Amalfi on our own to spend the day. The hotel explained to us exactly what to do and it was very simple. I was nervous about traveling without any idea of where things would be, how we would get there, and what types of tours to take, but the hotel took care of it all! The hotel also opened their own restaurant while we were there, with amazing food, and a beautiful view. We could not have asked for a better honeymoon. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and made our trip so enjoyable! I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to relax and see the Amalfi coast! You will have a wonderful time!

Room Tip: The suite was beautiful!
