Crawford Home is perfectly situated for a quiet stay, away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento. The apartment was fantastic; the high, domed ceilings gave a feeling of space and the outdoor area was incredible, despite being overlooked by a hotel (during our stay we had no issues with privacy).
We were, thankfully, met by both Francesca and Giovanni at the train station after a grueling hour waiting to connect from Naples.
Sorrento is a twenty to thirty minute walk away (the pavements/ sidewalks are like nothing we have ever experienced!). We only spent a couple of hours there having brunch at Fauno and then again on our last day to buy a gift. We were thankful to leave the madness behind and head back to the peace of Sant Agnello.
Francesca and Giovanni were the perfect hosts, on hand whenever we had a question or to arrange an excursion.
We will stay again!
We spent a week in Franchesc'so lovely apartment and it was a fabulous stay. Giovanni (her husband) met us at the train station and drove us to the apartment. They live upstairs so were close by when needed (only once!). It's a short walk to the bus stop to Sorrento. Walk up the street and turn left towards the church. The hardware store sells bus tickets, and there is a small market past that (larger market near the train station). Beyond the small market, there is a deli that sells prepared food. Gnocchi, lasagna, eggplant parm---Yum! Giovanni arranged a bus tour of the Almafi Coast (don't drive it) and a driver to take us to the airport in Naples. Oops, forgot about the frig being stocked for our first breakfast! The apartment is roomy, pristine, and has all the bells and whistles. Bravo Francesca and Giovanni!
Francesca and Giovanni were fantastic hosts. Really friendly and helpful. The apartment was spotless and really well presented. It is located in Sant Agnello which is the next town to Sorrento, so you have a bit more local feel, but it is easily walkable to Sorrento. So it is easier to park on the streets, has its own station to go to Pompei or Naples, and plenty of buses if you don't have a car.
Parking costs were €15 for a week, and in April traffic was quiet.
The apartment has a nice double bed and a single bed, so for the three of us was ideal. I daresay the sofa could also be used as a bed.
Kitchen has a gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, so all that is needed.
Great extra touches like printing boarding passes out for us, and a welcome fridge with wine, cheese, meat, pasta, tea, milk, etc. Also as we found it a little difficult to find the apartment initially Giovanni was brilliant waiting for us to arrive late and welcome us in.
