“In one word: "Spotless"”

We had a wonderfull stay with our daughters and their families, 10 persons in all aged from 7 to 79 years. Everything, from the cordial wellcome to the wellcome home mail on our return was spotless. Barbecue next to the pool with view on Vesuvius and the bay to the morning concert by an unidentified but artfull bird has left an unforgetable memory. The garden, full with palms, citrus trees an flowers is very well kept. See for yourself the enormous space and the varied equipment , though we sorely missed a salad centrifuge which Paola promised to procure asap ;).

“Awesome Views, Clean, Wonderful Hosts, A place to relax and enjoy yourself.”

I agree with the previous review. Paola and her daughters left the Villa immaculate prior to our arrival. We had 10 people, and we enjoyed every aspect of the Villa - pool, guest quarters, kitchen, outdoor eating areas, and the proximity to the Sorrento and nearby small towns.
The Villa is located on the hills outside Sorrento, facing north. There are multiple levels from which to enjoy the views, and if you need to get away from everyone for a while, there are many places to sit, read, relax and enjoy the quiet serenity of Southern Italy.

We did not use the outside Pizza oven, but we did use the grill. for Chickens.

If you like to cook, the kitchen is well equipped. The closest supermarket (think First National in the 60's here) is in Sant Agata, called Conad's. It has almost everything you need and is only 10 minutes away by car. Make sure you get to know the cashier's and men behind the meat counter. Wonderful people.

In Sant Agata you can also find the local fruit an vegetable store, and several bakeries for your fresh bread. We also found a store where you can get Ice Cream.

We had three cars for 10 of us. I strongly recommend smaller cars - the roads are narrow and curvy. Group acitivities of 2 to 5 work best. Getting large groups around Italy is a challenge given the roads and driving.

Our large van was a mistake to drive on the Amalfi Coast.

The Hosts provided us with a wonderful contact for a boat to take us to tour Capri for a day of swimming and touristing. The recommendation saved us hundreds of Euro's over a private rented boat. The boat left from Marina del Cantone, thus we avoided the traffic, crowds and parking problems of Sorrento and Naples.

Driving to the Amalfi Coast or any of the tourist sights during August should be done early, before traffic becomes very heavy. Driving the small roads in Italy is not for the feint of heart. The other drivers are good - be patient and courteous, and they will be patient and courteous back - even when they pass you on the steep roads in the hills.

We strongly recommend the Villa for a small or large group. The Independence is a separate buildling, with two bedrooms, each with its own bath. All the rooms have Air Conditioning, - which appeared to work well although we did not need it much. Our visit was from August 15 to August 22, 2015

We ate all our meals outside on the terrace by the Kitchen. The electric (retractable) overhead canopies/awnings were very useful and made the terrace very enjoyable during the day.

The owners have not spared any expense in maintaining the quality of Villa Bianca. If you want a hotel experience, this is not for you. But, if you want a wonderful family experience. enjoy cooking and eating outdoors with your family, and want to embrace living on the hills in Southern Italy, this is the place for you.

Liked best: The pool, the views, the location, the ability to enjoy family together in a comfortable setting.
Liked least: The only difficult aspect of the Villa was the number of steps to the Villa (50) for my mother, who is 80.

“7 days in Sorrento; wonderful location, welcoming hosts and beautiful views.”

We stayed as a family of four at Villa Bianca in Sorrento in late September 2014. The villa was a 15-minute taxi ride away from the Sorrento ports, up steep and winding roads that gave an excellent view over the Bay of Naples. Situated on the quiet Via Nastro Verde, surrounded by grape and olive plantations, the Villa overlooks the entire bay, giving exquisite views as far as Mount Vesuvius, Naples and Capri. It is a 30-40 minute walk down to the town of Sorrento, via. small roads and passageways that offer great views over Sorrento itself, as well as traditional Italian architecture along the way.

The rental price was very reasonable given the quality, space and cleanliness of the villa. The bedrooms can accomodate up to 12 guests (3 double rooms, a double sofabed and an external guest house with two double rooms). The kitchen included a large fridge, oven, and dishwasher, along with basic utensils. The beds were comfortable and air conditioning units are found in every room to ensure good air circulation. The outdoor pool is a great size and includes a springboard for extra fun. A restaurant that serves great Italian food at a reasonable price, Il Gordo, can be found with 5-minute walk down the road towards Sorrento.

Paola, our host, was extremely kind and welcoming, offering us cold beverages upon arrival as we arrived slightly early of check-in time (4PM), and taking us by car to a nearby supermarket where we were able to buy groceries for our time at the villa. We had assistance with our luggage and upon our departure a taxi arrived at the doorstep to take us back to Naples Airport.
