Only stayed in this hotel for a 3 nights as part of a New Market Holiday, never again! This hotel has a serious ant problem. At breakfast there was a line of ants crawling from the toaster up to the ceiling. Ants in the room crawling all over your case, bedding and clothes.

The maids don't clean from one day to the next they just make the beds. On the first day I opened the shower door and a sachet of used shampoo fell out from the previous tenants.Obviously the shower hadn't been cleaned. I don't expect clean towels every day, however, I didn't expect that one day the cleaners took all our clean and dirty towels and left us with nothing for a whole day! When we went to reception the gentleman shrugged his shoulders and walked off.

Breakfast is basic, full of sweet cakes and pastries. Waiters and very rude and see you as a hassle. We were half board but we only had food in the evening once at the hotel as it was soup to start, greasy chicken for main and an apple for desert. Not the Italian food we were expecting. There are so many reasonably priced restaurants to choose from in Sorrento town, don't waste your time eating in the hotel.

On the first night the air con wouldn't work it kept clicking off. Back down to reception to ask about it and apparently it has to be switched on at reception, the room controls are just for show! Reception controls your air con.

The safe wouldn't work, I went down to reception twice before anyone came up to look at it. Apparently the batteries were flat, we had to wait again for a member of staff to change them and reset the safe.

The walls in room are very thin, every morning we could hear the people in the room next to us using the bathroom, flushing the chain and then running the taps. We could often hear snoring through the walls too.

There was no secure luggage room on the day to checkout, cases are just left in reception. Often reception is left unattended, with multiple departures on one day you just hope no one picks up your case by mistake or steals it.

The free hotel shuttle bus is very unreliable and when the hotel is a 30 minute walk in a dark road with no pavements you rely on the shuttle bus. The service bus is unreliable too.

Budget hotel that isn't very clean and very far out from everything. Apparently New Market holidays always use hotels far out and save money this way so if you want to be in the center, close to the bars restaurants and shops don't book this hotel or a holiday with New Market Holidays.

Stayed as part of a two centre (Rome and Sorrento) holiday. First room allocated was unsafe and dirty (room 306) - shower cubicle broken shower head worked like a tap and clothes cupboard dirty and rotting. Moved next day to room 103, much better.
Breakfast food ok, however many chipped plates and dishes. Evening food rubbish, poor quality and generally not very Italian!!!
Pool area clean.

Room Tip: Room 103 ok, 306 terrible.

Our family had a lovely time. Lots of space and a great swimming pool. Claudio, one of the receptionists, was fantastic! Really helpful, kind and friendly with a great sense of humour! He even organised us a lift to a great restaurant at an amazing beach nearby!

This hotel has some positive and negative points. The rooms are nothing special but they are clean and comfortable enough. I found the pool area to be the best part of the hotel - plenty of sun loungers and a good sized pool. Very nice for when you just want to relax in the sun instead of going out. Another good point is the location of the hotel. It is just up the hill from the main part of Sorrento but there is a bus stop right outside. There is also a free hotel shuttle service in and out of town but it doesn't really run often enough and is usually full so you may not get a space.
One of the biggest negatives for us was the bathroom - the shower had poor water pressure and was fixed at an angle that you had to stand against the wall to catch the water. The sliding doors often came uncooked and there was dirt around the bottom. The bathroom sink didn't drain properly and the shower drain made loud gurgling noises every time the guests in the next room used their bathroom.
Another disappointing aspect was the breakfast, which consisted mainly of cakes and sweet pastries. It would be nice to see a healthier variety with some cut fresh fruit, omelettes, etc.
Overall, it was not a bad experience, but I expect better for the price.

Location next to Bagni Regina Giovanna
Free shuttle to centre and extremely kind and friendly driver
Pool and surrounding area is nice

Wi-Fi continually disconnects
Breakfast was mainly cakes and the waitor would say things like 'oh you go to the pool. Bikini bikini!'
Not allowed to take external food or drink to the pool- they charge about 3 times as much as the small shop across the road does
Distance from centre - dangerous road with no path
Our beds were so uncomfortable in a tiny room...
General cleanliness of public bathrooms was bad
