Expected a bog-standard Hilton, but we were pleasantly surprised.
Location is a good 20 mins walk outside of Sorrento, up quite a steep hill.
Some free parking on the road or valet parking for 17 euros a day.
Reception etc. lovely. Nice bar area with beautiful views of the Bay.
We paid for Executive rooms and can highly recommend this. Great lounge, with a bar and a separate pool. (not huge, but good to cool down) Could eat here too, and breakfast was served here first thing.
Sorrento itself is very touristy and we struggled to find somewhere nice to eat. Came here 20 or so years ago and it was charming, but much of that charm lost now. Surrounding area still as lovely as ever though.
We used this as a base for Pompeii. Easy drive but traffic bad so took us over an hour.

The Hilton is a great location for a trip to Sorrento. It overlooks the town and we enjoyed evening meals on the restaurant balcony with stunning views across the Gulf of Naples with Vesuvius in the background. The bar and reception are spacious and a great place to meet and relax. Service was good from the friendly staff but you do pay for it. Our room was satisfactory but had no view as it was at the rear. Also the shower was not as good as should be expected in a 4*.

Room Tip: Room at the rear of the hotel back on to the cliff and road and have no view at all.

As perfect a luxury holiday hotel as you can find!

With amazing views over the bay of Naples and Vesuvius this is such a perfect location.

Do note that if you are a Hilton Honours member you can only access your additional benefits at this hotel if you book direct through Hilton, and not as part of a holiday package.

We have just returned from a week stay at the Hilton Sorrento. What a hidden gem we have found. The staff are the best. Food is very good. Great facilities, from walking in to walking out we had a great experience and will definately return. the hotel is locatef at the top of an hill, i feel would be concern to any one with mobility problems.

hotel was large and spacious. very clean and staff friendly. room was very spacious and balcony the same size as room (401) hotel looks over mount Vesuvius - amazing! 15 min walk from restaurants/shops of which there are plenty. lots of trips available either to book through the hotel or local excusion shops or easy to DIY as transport via train / bus cheap and easy. train/bus station 15 mins walk fm hotel. the hotel has a kids club for up to 12 year olds.activities range from pool games to craft activities. pool was clean and tidy and the pool side restaurant had enough choice but a little pricey. breakfast had plenty of choice and staff were attentive.

Room Tip: rear view rooms are ok standard is high but views not great. recommend room 401 huge balcony
