VERY luxurious hotel with probably the best free breakfast in all of Italy.
More like a resort than a hotel.

And a FANTASTIC Indoor pool.

Great staff, and fantastic views of Mediterranean.

Another dangerous bathtub...Bring your own tub mat.

Only negative----cannot walk to shopping or attractions...only cab.

Unlike other hotel up here that provides free shuttle every 30 minutes----They do NOT.

Had a weeks holiday in the sorrento palace, took my parents, husband, 2 children and aunts. We were in sorrento for a wedding.
The only thing which was the down side was the 15 minute walk into town. The Hilton is up a steep hill and when it's 36c it's almost too much to do with two children in buggies. We did the walk twice daily and it was torture on the way back up.
The hotel itself is amazing, friendly staff, great pools, good food (although very expensive).
Sorrento is beautiful and if you get time make sure you visit Capri as its exquisite.
Hot during the day and just as hot during the evening.

Dear LoveAholiday2012,

I would like to start by thanking you for taking the time to share your feelings about our hotel and Team here at the Hilton Sorrento Palace and of course for choosing to stay in our hotel during this special occasion.
The Hilton Sorrento Palace enjoys a privileged location being up the hill and offering stunning views over the Bay of Naples and the Mount Vesuvius, for some of our guests the walk results quite heavy and for some is a fascinating walk and refreshing. Being a very hot summer, the hottest summer since 2003, I totally understand that it was a torture to walk under 36c!

I am happy to read you and your family enjoyed the pools and all the services we provided.
I hope we can welcome you and your family back to the Hilton Sorrento Palace in the future!
All the Best,

Family of 5 in 2 rooms for 1 week. Rooms had superb views of the bay of Naples with a Vesuvius back drop. Friendly and helpful staff always available for assistance. Breakfasts were excellent and possibly the best I've had in a hotel for many years. The swimming pools both inside and out were also very good. The pool side bar/restaurant was expensive. The town is a 10 minute walk away and the station a few minutes more. Sorrento is a great base for trips to Capri, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Naples, and the Amalfi Coast. I would certainly stay in this hotel again.

Had an excellent week long stay here. The rooms, staff and hotel facilities were excellent all round. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. The executive lounge and rooms were well worth the extra money. The view of Mnt Vesuvius from the rooms was spectacular.

Room Tip: Spend as much as you can afford. You get what you pay for!

We stayed here earlier in the year. Good location for the view over the town and Bay of Naples to Capri, but a bit of a hike up from the town, especially after a day out. Could do with a courtesy bus. The pool area is superb, Staff were really friendly, helpful and efficient.
Would not recommend driving around the Amalfi coast. Take a boat trip from Sorrento harbour to Positano and Amalfi, then a bus to Ravello. Return on the bus from Amalfi to Sorrento. This way you get a view of the coast from the sea and from land. Makes a good day out.

Room Tip: Get a room on the top floors overlooking the orange grove. (not on the pool side)
