We stayed at this hotel for a week in July 2017 and absolutely loved it and would highly recommend it.
We had half board and thought we might eat out some nights but the food was so good and the staff so lovely that we ate at the restaurant every night. The breakfasts had a huge choice of cold meats, breads, pastries, cereals, fresh fruit, eggs etc.
Having a family room can be a bit of a gamble but the room was big enough, with 2 king size double beds a decent shower plus a bath, very good air conditioning, adequate storage space, a small balcony, plus the usual TV, mini-bar fridge and free wifi. I found the mattress too hard on the first night, raised it with the reception, and a softer over-mattress was installed that day.
The pool was lovely, 3m at the deep end with a baby section at the other. It was well maintained and had poolside showers and toilets. My 9 and 14 year-old boys would have stayed in the pool all day. The poolside area offered plenty of loungers with natural shade of lemon trees and hedges for those who prefer less direct sun. The poolside bar was good for service and snacks. There was also a gym that we didn't use (we were on holiday!) and a dedicated sun-tanning area overlooking the bay. I'd recommend taking your own towels for the pool as they charge €3 to use the pool towels.
All the staff from reception to the cleaners were very smart, very helpful and spoke good English.
The only slight downside was the location being about 10 minutes walk into the central square which is slightly uphill on the way back but there is a free shuttle bus to the station and plenty of places to pick up a drink or ice-cream on the walk.

We arrived by the local train outside of the hotels shuttle service so decided to walk. It really was not that far but with a high 36 degree heat, pulling suitcases and cobbled pavements a taxi should have been used.
The hotel staff were welcoming and we were shown to our 5th floor room with spectacular views across the bay and an air conditioned room that was coping well with the unusually high temperatures Italy is experiencing.
The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was also well presented and plentiful.

We stayed for 5 days the last week in July. The hotel is emaculate & well presented . The roof terrace has lovely sea views & you can order drinks & food from a phone which is then brought up to you.The breakfast was buffet style with lots to chose from.We ate our evening meals in the restaurant each night & found the menu changed daily with lots of local produce & a variety of dishes to choose from. The waiting staff are very efficient friendly & cheerful as are all the staff we came across. There is free bus provided by the hotel which takes you to the train station then it's a few minutes walk into Tasso Square (the bus eliminates the walking next to the busy road ) .The pool is a nice size & has a bar which serves happy hour cocktails .All in all we loved this hotel & will definitely return .

My Husband and I, stayed 3 nights in July ,Lovely frontage on Hotel, we arrived late due to an accident on the road into Sorrento, but they held dinner for us, lovely meal and bottle of wine revived our spirits. unfortunately the room they gave us was a little disappointing , due to size/no balcony, and a very poor view(mainly next doors wall) sorted out next morning, this room much nicer , balcony and a view of the hills, BUT unfortunately it was right next to lift shaft and we had the noise from that ALL night,. you can only complain so much on a short break so we got on with it! Lovely staff in in the main perhaps could have been a little more accurate on times and places but still,. lovely pool and liked the fact that there was a café/bar on pool area.

Room Tip: higher floors better views, avoid any rooms on the corner of building, lift shaft noise

Friendly staff; very good food both breakfast and dinner. The only downside to me was the fact that the hotel was based on a main busy road. Short walk into town but dangerous road to walk along. Central location and as others have said, Sorrento disappointing and not the hotel's fault.

If you want a hotel close to town, then this is fine.
