A lovely hotel in the Rufaza district which was a great base to explore Valencia from. The room was a reasonable size and clean. The bathroom is very small which could be a challenge. There are multiple bars and restaurants nearby. What make this hotel stand out, is the quality of their staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they certainly have customer service at the front of their minds at all times. Special mention goes to Vanessa who was very welcoming when I checked in. Would definitely stay here again

We arrived in Valencia by the Renfe train at the Valencia Joaquin Sorolla train station. From here, we took a 10 minute walk to the hotel – walk past McDonalds, along a quiet road parallel to the train track, and cross an under-pass (no escalator or elevator, so got to lug your bags up and down the stairs).

The hotel is located in the Ruzafa area – nice low-rise locale, comprising boutique hotels, restaurants, some shops and apartments. Check-in was very pleasant – I think the lady was Vanessa, and she was very friendly and helpful. If you need to look for a supermarket or restaurants, just ask them. There is a fairly large super-market about 5 minutes’ walk away.

The hotel room is cosy and clean. There is a small fridge too. However, the safe box looked quite ancient and we ended up not using it. There is a bath-tub that functions as a shower tub as well.

From the hotel, we could walk to areas of interest like the Central market, the Valencia cathedral and the city centre. We took a bus to the City of Arts and Science near the hotel (we got directions from the hotel reception staff). On our last day, we took the metro from Xatavia station (about 10 minutes’ walk from the hotel) to the Valencia airport.

All in, a very pleasant stay and would recommend this place for a short stay.

Dear John A.
First of all, thank you for your trust and for sharing your experience with us.
We hope that you enjoyed your stay in Valencia and we are very glad to know that aour location, the comfort of our beds, the buffet breakfast and, above all, the friendliness of our team were to your liking. On the other hand, we apologize for the inconveniences with the glass door of the bathroom. We are ending the previous steps of the refurbishment of the whole bathrooms and works will start soon. With this refurbishment all the glass doors will be replaced by standard doors of wood.
We hope to see you in your next visit to Valencia and that you can enjoy the new face of our bathrooms.

On behalf of the whole staff of Petit Palace Ruzafa, thank you for your trust and comprehension.

Salvador Prades.

We stayed 5 nights here and found it as a good base to explore Valencia. A ten minutes walk to the shopping streets and the City Hall square. Some ten- fifteen more minutes then to get deeper in the Old Town. Neighborhood is peaceful, but the very street of the hotel and a couple parallel and crossing streets have lots of nice small restaurants. The room was clean, comfortable and large enough for two persons. The staff was attentive and polite. The only negative remark is that the walls are quite "thin". You could so easily hear voices from the corridor and neighboring rooms.

Excellent location with lots of various restaurants and bars yet relatively quiet, close to the center, nice old building and beautiful old district with exceptionally kept houses, all very handsome. Room - nice, bathroom -a bit weird, with a "modern" glass door, that is never completely closed, so you hear and even see a little bit of everything. This wasn't convenient staying with the child, but even with my husband I wouldn't like to share that much...
Another thing that wasn't convenient - breakfast tables mostly occupied, so you either wait until one gets free or you sit at different tables. That wasn't too bad, we usually managed to sit togeher in the end and didn't cause too much trouble. Breakast quality was good.
Very friendly and helpful reception staff, free coffee / tea / milk at the reception from 13:00 till 23.00 which we used almost daily.
I would say good value for money.
Any something else - Valencia has to be seen! The city is absolutely incredible (modern and old parts, enourmous beach, Turia gardens, Oceanarium)- we were stunned.

Dear Tant, First of all we would like to thank you for taking part of your personal time sharing your experience with other posible guest. For us is a pleasure to read you enjoyed the hotel location at the "Ruzafa" quartier.
Regarding to the bathroom door we do apologize for not having enough privacy for your comfort. We are going to change all of them by the end of this year in order to avoid those inconveniences. In any case we are glad to know you liked the service provided by our staff and Valencia city.
We hope to see you again in a near future.
