We arrived in Valencia by the Renfe train at the Valencia Joaquin Sorolla train station. From here, we took a 10 minute walk to the hotel – walk past McDonalds, along a quiet road parallel to the train track, and cross an under-pass (no escalator or elevator, so got to lug your bags up and down the stairs).
The hotel is located in the Ruzafa area – nice low-rise locale, comprising boutique hotels, restaurants, some shops and apartments. Check-in was very pleasant – I think the lady was Vanessa, and she was very friendly and helpful. If you need to look for a supermarket or restaurants, just ask them. There is a fairly large super-market about 5 minutes’ walk away.
The hotel room is cosy and clean. There is a small fridge too. However, the safe box looked quite ancient and we ended up not using it. There is a bath-tub that functions as a shower tub as well.
From the hotel, we could walk to areas of interest like the Central market, the Valencia cathedral and the city centre. We took a bus to the City of Arts and Science near the hotel (we got directions from the hotel reception staff). On our last day, we took the metro from Xatavia station (about 10 minutes’ walk from the hotel) to the Valencia airport.
All in, a very pleasant stay and would recommend this place for a short stay.More
