We stayed here with our 2 boys aged 5 and 8. Firstly Katie thank you so much for all your help and excellent communications leading up to our holiday. The apartment itself as other reviews having already stated is in a fantastic location with lots of lovely restaurants just minutes walk away on the esplanade. The apartment was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Despite being on the main promenade we never heard any noise as we had the electric blinds down at night. The boys room was also very quiet as was at the back of the apartment. The apartment block is very secure with the entrance and the swimming pool area both only being accessed by a fob which we really liked especially with having children. We had hired a car from the airport and loved the fact we had a very secure underground garage that is provided. Especially welcome as it is a busy area and also for keeping the car cool! We went to the local aldi which was only 10 mins drive away however there is a supermarket in the back streets only a few mins from the apartment which had a good range of products at a good price. If you like being on the beach this is a fantastic apartment for you as you are right on the beach and Katie has got everything you need such as chairs, umbrella etc for the beach. If you want to take kids into the sea it is better if you have a 10 min walk up to the safer part of the beach as it has lifeguards and kids can paddles as the beach at front of apartment is rocky and quite deep at bits. We enjoyed visiting the submarine delvin s61 and there is a boat that you also get to explore aswell. These are next to each other in the main harbour which is about a 20 min walk from the apartment. For kids there is a lovely park called park international which was good with a nice walk around, chickens, peacocks and a playpark. As we had younger children we decided to look further afield as the waterpark is better for older children. We decided to do the 50 min drive to aqua nautica (I think!) there is one in murcia which we went to and one in benidorm. We had a fantastic day there it has both a safari park and a water park. We went to the safari park first and then cooled off in the park. They also have a nightime safari which we didn't do but heard very good reports. One hint we got half price tickets off of a ticket site think called tixalia and was a very good saving. One our best days out was to cartagena. A real highlight and if you enjoy visiting historical sights and museums you will love this city. This was again about 50 min drive away. We went to the tourist office first and there you can buy tickets which are a great saving. We chose 4 places to visit and then headed to the boat where with these tickets you get discount. The boat trip was a lovely start to the day and took an hour. The highlight for all of us was the visit to the roman amphitheatre!! Amazing!! One hint look up to see if any cruises are due in and avoid those days. We went on a sat as there was no cruises due in that day and we felt sometimes we almost had the museum to ourselves. On our last night we took the boys down to the carnival that is on near the main harbour in torrejieva town. It is right next to markets which are a great place to have a wander and look for souvenirs. We never found out exactly what time the carnival opened but think about 7pm as we got there at 7.40 and it was all open and in full swing. There is a land train that runs from near the markets that takes you up some of the promenade and then back in total about 40 mins however we found it quite expensive with no commentary and not really taking you to any sights. Could've been at better for tourists. Overall we loved staying here was a lovely apartment, everything you need and if you enjoy days out some lovely places within an hours drive. Thank you again Katie
