Stayed here for a total of 9 nights, 4 nights in a Junior suite, 5 nights in a Senior Suite. Staff was delightful, Eva the manager was wonderfully helpful and Daniel the front desk clerk was most gracious and accommodating. The suites were great, the senior suite had 2 balconies, junior suite had one. Kitchen facilities were adequate in both suites. We really enjoyed this hotel, parking rates were great and the garage is located right beneath the hotel. It's very close to the Metro Plaza Espana station and only a 10 minute walk from Sol.
Great place to stay, supermarket is only a 5 minute walk away. Lots of interesting small restaurants in the neighborhood, we really enjoyed our stay!

We only stayed one night but the hotel was more than adequate for the money and I might have given it five stars if it weren't necessary to ask for any furnishings or supplies for the kitchenette which had none as others mentioned.

The lobby was clean and pleasant, check in and check out was professional and easy.
The area appears to be an exclusive one near the Plaza de Espana. Rather than ask for kitchen supplies, we went to the cafe on the corner that may belong to the hotel. It is an above average cafe with excellent breakfast offerings with a very nice decor.

We would stay here again but make sure we ask, on arrival, for any supplies we need.

Hotel was very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Room was reasonably large by Spanish standards and included a microwave, sink, mini-fridge, and stove top (2 electric burners). No plates or cooking utensils were provided but when we asked, they were made readily available at no charge.
Safe in the room.
Location was good for walking to Plaza de Espana. Metro station very close by (2 minute walk).
Supermarket and restaurants also close by.
Highly recommended.

What I expect as a minimum from a hotel is for it to be clean, quiet and comfortable and the SV scores highly on these criteria. As a bonus, our room had a kitchenette and although not stocked with utensils, they were provided quickly once I asked at reception. The double room was plenty big enough, although the bathroom was a bit tight. Don't expect a view though, our room just faced another block. The beds were comfortable and the airconditioning worked fine (it was 32deg whilst we were in Madrid) and wasn't too loud. Breakfast was fine and items were re-stocked continuously. The location was great for us, a quiet neighbourhood and within 5 min walk of a Metro station and 10-15min walk to the Palacio Real. Free WiFi completed an excellent overall package.
