Good choice for an easy walk to atocha. The room is basic and small but for the money it's fine, clean and modern. Downsides... No kettle or sitting area in the room other than the bed. But you gets what you pay for. We didn't take breakfast here, as there are bakeries and cafes close by.

We stayed in room 7 at the front. Was traffic noisy it has to be said. And a tv was blaring until gone 1am upstairs. Just worth noting.

Room Tip: Don't choose room 7 if you want peace and quiet.

Absolutely fantastic for a solo traveler. Great wi-fi, very clean room although a bit small, extremely comfortable shower, and great service. It is within walking distance to Renfe and Subway, and centrally located. One tip I would like to share is to email the manager after booking to get a bit more detail in finding the hotel, and get into the building.

The upside is that the location is great for the train and bus station. That, in a nutshell, is the positive. The rooms, whilst clean, are the right size for a 5 year old. An adult will feel like he or she is in a dolls house. There is no provision at all for comfort. Not even a pack of paper tissues will be provided. Staff arrive at 8 and disappear at 10. Don't expect such luxuries as an alarm call. I would not even entertain this "hotel" if I was ever to be back in Madrid.

We stayed for two nights in 8 Rooms Madrid in November 2012. Super close to Atocha Station (which is an easy trip from the airport). The pension is on the second floor of an apartment building, so you must call up from the street in order to be let into the building. The room was small but clean - bathroom; same. Very close quarters between the bathroom and bedroom - be prepared. No safe in the room. We really loved that they provided toothbrush & toothpaste sets in the bathrooms :)

The main problem was the noise. I am extremely light sleeper, so every time a guest came into the building I woke up. The noise was extreme as guests walked through the foyer and the hallway but was manageable once guests were in their rooms. Also, the front desk is unmanned (or, un-womaned) after about 9 pm, so it is imperative to have your needs met by that time - AND - be sure you are well versed with the locks or you may be stuck!

The pension is close to most "sights", we never paid for transportation and saw all that we wanted to see!

For the price, a great choice.

Room Tip: If you're looking for something close to the sights but inexpensive, it's a good choice.

Newly open “urban pension” ten minutes walking from Atocha Station, a mayor transport hub in Madrid, and twenty minutes walking to the Museo del Prado and nearby museums ( Reina Sofia, Thyssen, Naval Museum,… ). The hotel is in the third? floor of a really nice old building.
Check inn was smooth and quick since the staff is really nice. You can ask them any questions since they seem to know Madrid fairly well.
The rooms are not very spacious but at extremely clean and with a sense of newness (it was open just two months ago ). Design is a sort of Ikea but it suits great within the amobience. The rooms are also very quiet since there are only 8 rooms in this pension so we were quite happy about this tranquility..
They serve a cheap breakfast for 2.5 euros and you get a coffee, a juice some toast and a croissant.
On the overall: I would come back again and I would recommend it since it was a great stay for a budget price.
