The park is huge, you can rent a small row boat also, just to walk around it, feed the ducks and watch people makes it a real relacing place to see.

A great place to take kids especially at the weekend when there is a lot of atmosphere. A long esplanade with lots of kids parks along the way. Lots of people joggin or biking. Lots of families having fun and picnics. Place for all to avoid the hustle and bustle of the city.

Out the hustle and bustle of Madrid Centro, take time to stroll down to the Manzanares riverfront and enjoy a leisurely walk along the fairly new Madrid Rio park. Or ride a bike on its extensive trail network. Or enjoy the gardens. The Arganzuela bridge is spectacular. Highly recommended.

When I booked my trip to Madrid I wasn’t planning to go to this area. But unexpectedly I did, and what a surpise. This is a great example how a recreation area should be created. For every age, from small to old, from laid back to sports... historical to nature, cultural to shopping. This is still some kind of a hidden place because it is located somewhat outside of the touristical area. I went there on a Sunday morning/noon and the place was full with the local people of Madrid. Check out the pasarela de Arganzuela, puente de Toledo, puente de matadore etc etc

This is a fantastic oasis of calm in the city, the river itself is not much but do not let this put you off. it is a truly lovely park where you can sit and watch the world go by. plenty of play parks for kids. some good little bars. lovely views of Puente de Toledo.
