I don't think it would get much better than this in Madrid. Beautiful 100 year old grand hotel with a wonderful stained glass roof over the Rotonda where breakfast is served and a really amazing Chinese restaurant (Asia Gallery). We stayed in one of the inner facing suites which didn't have a view of the street but was lovely all the same. I understand some of the outer rooms are quite noisy so we had no complaints. They were installing a gold vending machine in the lobby when we checked out! This goes to how isolated from the goings on outside and encased in luxury you feel in this hotel.

Room Tip: We stayed in one of the inner facing suites which didn't have a view of the street but was lovely all the same. I understand some of the outer rooms are quite noisy so we had no complaints.

This was my first stay at the hotel but it was great. The room was fantastic and the lobby is just great. I love the location as it is so close to everything.

The Westin Palace has a fantastic location, across the street from the Prado and Thyssen museums, and an easy walk to major squares in the center. The rooms are large and tastefully done, and the bathrooms are spacious and modern. The hotel treats its guests with great care. If you are more used to Four Seasons hotels than Westins in the US, you will not be disappointed. Try to get a junior suite, which is really more of a suite, with pocket doors closing off the nice living room from the bedroom.

Hotel was good, room clean but could do with an update. Major reason for hotel choice was location and it didn't disappoint - more or less everything is walkable

Had a delightful three night stay here last weekend. Staff were attentive and incredibly friendly - from the man at the door, the dining room staff, to the cleaners - everyone was amazingly helpful.
Had a twin room in the third floor. Well furnished, clean and comfortable. Shower was amazing, beds were perfect, and all thoughfully designed.
The gym on the top floor is the best hotel gym I've used. Well-maintained cardio machines with tv, new weight machines, full free weight sets, plus magazines. Great view over madrid when doing cardio. Makes a workout seem to go quicker!
Buffet breakfast is great. Well cooked warm offerings, plus great fruit, yogurt and pastry selction. Also had indian/asian options and deleicous chocolate and lemon tea shots. Well worth the 34€ in my opinion. The bar serves only classic drinks, but they are spot on. Fantastic way to wind down after a hectic day in madrid, sipping cocktails under the hotel's stunning domed glass ceiling.
There is also a good business centre with six computers and free printing.
Location is fantastic. Right across from Prado, 2 mins to Thyssen, less than 10mins to Reina Sofia. Also good walking distance to Plaza del Sol and walkable to La Latina, Palace and Plaza Mayor. Madrid is a compact city.

Definately reccomend this hotel. It has a lot of character and charm
