We tried churros and chocolate in Barcelona and were just ok with them. Based on San Gines reviews we decided to give it one more try and boy are we glad we did. San Gines takes churro and chocolate to a new amazing level and we were in heaven. A few tips. Go around 10pm. The lines during the day are crazy but die down around 9:30 to 10. We had a couple minute wait. Also, don’t expect a churro like you would get in Mexico or the US all coated with sugar and cinnamon. This dessert is more savory then sweet. The churro has nothing coating it and the chocolate is more of a dark chocolate.
