We chooses this hotel mostly because of its location. It’s located on the outskirts of the old town (perhaps 4/5 blocks sway from the main square) and yet you can walk and reach the main attractions in minutes and all of the tourist hassle, restaurant and bars. When you return to rest you will do peacefully. Rooms and bath are clean, but small.

We stayed here for a week in May and it looked like the Apartments had been refurbished to a very high standard.Everything looked new and clean. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The only problem is that the noise from the strip is a nuisance up to 4am.I know that the Management have no control over this local problem.
WiFi is poor to nonexistent most of the time.In spite of that we would gladly stay here again as the plus points win out over the couple of negative ones

Spent 5 nights at the Hotel Altair, we chose it because of TA reviews and we were not disappointed. It’s a small hotel right on the edge of the old town. We had a car and the hotel has access to parking less than 2mins away which made it the perfect base for day trips away from town and evenings spent strolling through the historic centre. The staff were always extremely helpful and gave us so many tips which enabled us to make the most of our time in Santiago - right down to where to buy cake and cookies from the nuns at Monasterio de Benedictinas San Pelayo Antares.

This was probably the best hotel we stayed at on our 3 week trip around N Spain. It is a boutique hotel, modern, beautifully fitted, excellent breakfast that was served rather than buffet, but it was the staff who gave it the edge over others. They were friendly and cheerful and willing to help with whatever they could. We stayed 3 nights and would recommend it. It was about 20 mins walk uphill from the train station.

Altia, or Antia? I’m sorry I’ve forgotten your name, but as the receptionist on duty for most of our two day stay, you made our visit.
Her suggestions on places to eat, drink and visit were all spot on.
Her English was great, and our room was more than acceptable in a location that is ideal for exploring the old city. On the very edge, quiet, but easy walking to anywhere.
We didn’t breakfast here, as we always explore options in towns.
Highly recommend Altair.

The name is ok, Antía. Thank you for your words, I love this city and the things that it can offer, for that reason I try to transmit It.

Kind Regards
Antía
