For four people, we ordered: fried anchovies, fried eggplant, fried hake, fried red mullet, grilled prawns and a salad. I've read good reviews about the grilled sardines but this was not available that day.
The grilled prawns took the longest time but were our favourite of the lot. We enjoyed the anchovies and eggplant as well. I'd have preferred more grilled items and less of the fried stuff, but at least the salad provided a welcome contrast to the batter & grease.
Get there before the doors open at 8pm - a queue was already beginning to form when we arrived at 7.50pm, and continued to snake along the kerb when we left at 9pm.

Luckily we turned up at the right time as there was a queue 10 minutes later! Very small and authentic place to go with the locals. Food was also very good and cheap! You must come and visit this place!

This is another jem in the Barcelonetta area of the city. Very small restaurant packed with basic tables and chaors but people don't eat there for the comfort, they do so for the food and the atmosphere. Indeed, it is so popular, that you will almost certainly have to queue outside to get a table and many people do just that, chatting over a beer before getting atble inside.

We got overly excited on this one, looked promising after reading the reviews but having tried real seafood in portugal mainly and other reagions of spain itself the food we were served was just blunt for us.

The squid, the sardines and the prawns all lack real seasoning and taste, the blunt herbs sauce you get is served with pretty much every dish apart from the saltless prawns.

The service is horrendous, staff doesnt handle well stress and rush hour with good customer service skills. They are terrible at it and moody.

Price was ok but we ate better in barcelona for the same budget.

If youre reading this, do not bother going there, you will not regret it.

Small place tucked away from main street. Bottle of house red 4,5 euro, food was around 20 euro including tasty sardines and calamares plancha. Definitely worth visit.
