The first impression you have while entering the door is that it is a restaurant with high standard. It is the right impression. The environment is warm and comfortable, tables are not too close, and there is a number of elements (lights, furniture, interior design..) reinforcing that. When I touched the napkin I noticed that it was extremely soft and it was a while I haven’t had the same feeling.
The restaurant offers a fixed price menu with a significant number of options, four per each of three courses, or a la carte menu with a long list of entries and main courses. Majority of dishes are meat, and you will likely take it as soon as you will notice that there is a huge grill just behind the large window that gives you full visibility on a broad kitchen. You cannot complain that you cannot see what happens there!
Meat is definitely a good choice, with a number of cuts from South America or Normandy. I taste a very good morcilla as well. Quality is pretty good. Quantities are more than satisfactory (burp). Expect potatoes served together with meat, entry and main course.
I recommend this restaurant. It is above Barcelona standards (27 euro for the fixed price, 30-35 euro otherwise), and can significantly increase if you add wine. Well, I would guess that, especially if you are not alone, you will eventually take the wine, also inspired by the wall of bottles spread with discretion all around you. Price is however well justified by the quality of place and food.
