Hotel Villa Emilia - "a good place to stay in Barcelona"
We found this hotel on Tripadvisor and it proved to be an excellent choice.
The rooms were very well finished and even though we had an outside room, we didn't find the traffic noise obtrusive as the double glazing was excellent and the air conditioning was very effective.
Some of the best bits of the hotel were: the roof terrace was a gorgeous place to sit and relax with a drink; the free coffee and pastries from 5-7pm each day were very welcoming after a hard days sightseeing; free wi-fi in the bedroom as well as 2 free computers for guest use; very close to Rocafort Metro station which meant getting around was very straightforward; friendly and helpful hotel staff.
The only downside of the hotel was their food prices which we didn't find to be good value and we ended up eating out every night.
Also, great wee bar and cafe across the square called Cafe Diamanté where the staff were some of the nicest people you could wish to meet and the prices were very reasonable.
Overall, a lovely hotel which we would definitely use again.
