Typical hostel building was a bit old. But to our surprise the room was very clean and big enough for a couple. We stayed at the hostel two times so we saw two different rooms. We chose rooms with private bathroom. The first room was a bit dark with no window or balcony but good enough and with clean toilet and shower and pretty comfortable double bed. The second room was sunny with a balcony and view to the avenue and more spacy than the first one. Great location!! Just across the street was the train station "Estacio de Franca" and the metro station Barceloneta is 5min by foot. The beach is 15min by foot. Last but not least, behind the hostel is a very nice neighbourhood "El Born" with many tapas bars and shops which are worth visiting. We enjoed our stay very much.

Perfect Location in El Born close to the Picasso Museum , Basilica Santa Maria Del Mar, Las Rambles & the Waterfront & many good quality tapas bars. Located oppostite a main train station with easy transport to and from the airport. Staff does not all speak English as in most parts of Spain. WiFi (as advertised) is in the public areas only and the rooms are small but clean. If you plan to explore BCN at much as possible this hostal is recommended.

The location is perfect. It's right across from the train station. Within walking distance of the beach, La Rambla and most of the other places I wanted to visit. There's a stop nearby for the Barcelona Bus Turistic (which I'd definitely recommend). There are loads of cafes, restaurants and bars less than 5 minutes away. I would definitely give this place 5 stars for location.

The rooms are basic. I had a balcony. I got a private room with a shared bathroom. The reception is open 24 hours. The staff are nice. And I didn't think it was too expensive. The wifi worked in reception but not in the room.

Room tip: Ask for balcony and room closer to reception if you want wifi.

Perfect location for a city trip! Very clean for hostel! It is a fine place to spend a couple nights. Nice staff, especially young lady on the day shifts!
But when you plan to stay there, you have to remember that it is a hostel, not 5* apartment. Don't forget to take some shampoo with you, and be sure that there is no tv or fridge in room. Also there is no central air-condition, but you will find a cooler fan in the room.

Bad price to quality ratio. Terrible, small, dark room. Terrible wifi connection, the night staff were so rude (the girl during the day was lovely). Unclean bathrooms. Generally dark and gloomy inside. Centrally located but for the same price you can find better options.
