Gaudi's Nest apartments are wonderful. Amazing view of the Sagrada Familia, beautiful furnishings, and lovely staff. Everything is so nice, it is almost hard to get oneself out and about--but, of course, Barcelona beckons. The neighborhood has a great mercat, great restaurants, nearby Metro that can quickly take you anywhere in the city. Everything is accessible. Highly recommend staying in this building!
We had a very pleasant stay at Gaudi's Nest Apartments. We had a two bedroom unit on the 2nd floor. Arturo, the owner, arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport and we got a tour on the way to the apartment. We were very jet lagged on arrival and were quite early. They stored our bags while we walked around, and when that proved to be too much for us kindly made it work so that we could rest in a part of our apartment while they finished readying it. There was a bottle of Cava and a box of chocolates to welcome us for the New Year, and we were also given a coupon for a bottle of Cava at their restaurant next door, Taste de Artur (which was very nice for both breakfast and dinner). The apartment was very clean and a comfortable size for our familyof four. We were even okay on our days we decided to just hang out and play games instead of site seeing. Has a small kitchen with dishes, pots and pans, etc. Location is nice. Easy access to metro, hop on/off bus, and taxis. Lots of restaurants and markets around. And the views were amazing! We had Sagrada Familia right out of our windows! View of the city from the rooftop terrace was incredible. We saw several fireworks displays NYE from up top. The lady in reception is so kind and will help to arrange anything you might need. There is no lift, but they carried our baggage up to the room for us while we were out. Great experience!
The Gaudi Nest apartment we stayed in was even better than advertised. We had a two bedroom suite which had lots of room. Great location, perfect view of Sagrada Familia, clean , quiet and comfortable. Arturo and his staff were very responsive and helpful. All the positive reviews are right. The only people who might not find this location suitable are those who cannot climb and carry their luggage upstairs as there is no elevator. Two cats currently reside on the rooftop patio which may be a bonus for some people and a drawback for others.
The apartment is very nice, and is exactly as described. The staff was available during the day, and we used their service to get to the airport our last day. Very satisfactory.
We rented this apartment for our family of four (2 adults, and 2 adult children). The extra space in an apartment is ideal and much better than "family rooms" at hotels. Specific to this unit, we appreciated its proximity to the metro and the gorgeous view of La Sagrada Familia. These factors more than made up for the lack of elevator, which was really only a "problem" on arrival and departure, when we had to deal with our luggage.
We had a minor issue with hot water on arrival, which mysteriously cleared up on its own. But Arturo, the owner, took an extra step of having the system checked by a maintenance person the next day. This was much appreciated. Arturo was also great to deal with during booking and in advance of our visit. He provided detailed arrival procedures and recommended the best way to travel from the train station to our apartment.
